  The Pringle bay community brings a traditional South African vibe, Having Braai's and chatting to locals will be a guarantee! The hotel has a rich history and is a heritage site and located in a biosphere. There are many stories, walks and interesting sites around the hotel and this includes learning more about the plants and vegetation that are endemic to the area, beaches and wildlife. We also have amazing music and bands that grace our stage - anything from local South African bands to visiting international guest.   Arbeit

  We are heading into season and need a few areas that we need help with.
  1) Handy Man and Building work - we have a unit on the property that needs to have the shower & geyser fixed as well as Dry walling with doors fitted to make an open plan one bedroom apartment into a 2 room - sharing bathroom unit. The decking (2nd floor) also needs repairs and some leaks on the roof attended to. This is a project we wish to complete in October 2025 (1 month project). Can start 15th Sept to 15th October if possible.
  
  2) South African Cooking experience - Get involved from Bring n Braai days through to Rugby Breakie Buns and Special cocktails for events. We need a Kitchen Hand, Cleaner and Dishwasher - this project could run from 01 October through to end January 2026. We need someone to join the Hotel crew who will be dedicated to working late afternoon to evening shifts (4 days - Thurs to Sundays / 5 hours a "night"- your days will be free to enjoy the hikes, sea, fishing and outdoors) and work in the kitchen and hotel to do dishwashing, cleaning of hotel spaces and assisting with having our venues event ready for when we have parties, weddings and other events.
  
  3) Gardening and Landscaping (pretty hardcore outdoor strenuous and physical work) - Join us for a creative and productive time of painting walls, DIY projects and garden work. Think sanding and painting walls, sprucing up outdoor spaces, helping us build natural rock wall, planting & building plant boxes, clearing of alien vegetation, tidying up outdoor areas, and bringing new life to old corners of the hotel surrounds. We can take workaways here for a month at a time - October through December 2025.
  
  We value teamwork and sharing knowledge, so expect a collaborative environment where we pitch in together and learn from one another as we go. Whether you’re already handy or just keen to get stuck in, your energy and enthusiasm are what count most - although in some of these we would expect you have worked in these areas before and qualified (even by previous work done in these areas) to consider you joining the team.

  Unterkunft

  Depending on which project you are looking at - we have various types of accommodation available. Either it will be a simple hotel type room with a bathroom (shower and loo) and make shift gas stove / kettle (Room 1) or for longer term workaway's we will have a two bedroom (sharing apartment) with shared full kitchen and shared bathroom with bath, shower and loo. Again - depending on your working hours and days of work - we serve our workaways accommodation and 1 meal a day (for 20 hour week) from Thursdays to Sundays provided by our stunning kitchen. We are about 4km from Pringle Village only a weekly walk / cycle or shop would probably be needed as we are not very close to any shops for the days you are off and not involved with us at the hotel.

  We are a small team - so there are really no air's and graces. We have 2 MOD's (Managers on duty) as well as the Owners get stuck in to run services, events and whatever is required on a daily / weekly basis.

  Sometimes the signal can be on and off due to the remote location - we have free wifi and good signal at main hotel - but wifi to rooms can be sketchy at times.

  There are many Baboons and no fences so if your dog is likely to run away off a lead or wonder around then it may not be a good fit. Lots of creatures, bush (so snakes present) too.
