Vom Workawayer (Tonina) für Host
Judy is a wonderful person and an excellent host. At her place, I had a spacious, big room with my own bathroom, and I was able to improve my French, meet her brother and many of her neighbours and friends, eat her and her brother's tasty food, learn to do some jewellery and make a necklace for myself, learn about Quimper faience pottery, visit

And in between all this, I did some work in the garden and helped her tidy the garage. I had a great experience and the best part of it was to make a new friend. Thank you, Judy, for everything and I hope to see you in Mallorca.Vom Host für Workawayer (Tonina)
Tonina became a member of the family from the minute she arrived! Enthusiastic and energetic, she participated in activities, outings, and visits. She was meticulous about doing her share - our garden advanced two years on its long-range plan after two weeks with Tonina - and her attention to small details was impressive and appreciated (how could

Her visit was a two-way cultural exchange: she was quite open to experiences here but she is very attached to her culture and shares it willingly. At the same time, she is well-travelled and has a good take on the world. My family and friends were delighted to have spent time with her, too - she is an interesting conversationalist and listens as well as talks.
For me, the visit with Tonina was Workaway at its best! I enjoyed her company immensely and consider that I am fortunate to now have her as a friend.
I so enjoyed having Ryn as a Workawayer ... who became part of the family. I had several projects for her, and everything that Ryn started, she went way beyond the minimum! Transplanting ground cover evolved into a complete cleaning out of the planting zone and laying the spent bulbs out to dry, and that is just one example. Ryn enjoyed

She tried new foods, even when she thought she wasn't going to like them (and mostly it turned out that she did find them good). Talking with Ryn was always an enriching moment - her experiences have given a perspective on life that is thoughtful and serene.
Ryn arrived with Eddy, her turquoise van (loved having it in my driveway!), and some projects of her own, and I feel that we both were able to benefit from her presence in my home. That is what Workaway is all about!!
Ryn says she will come back, and I'm looking forward to it!
Judy was my very first Work Away experience, I feel very lucky to have started this journey with her. Judy is an increadibly kind hearted thoughtful lady who embraces cultural exchange. There were lots of opportunities to mix with Judys friends & family. All kind, warm, interesting & informative people. Judys house was warm, clean & welcoming. The

The work expectations were more than fair, with opportunity for free time, invites to social gatherings, trips in to town, and local markets. I arrived as a Work Awayer, learned a huge amount and left considering Judy as a dear friend that I'm sure I will stay in touch with.
Thank you, Judy, for such an amazing experience!

My stay at Judy's and Marcel's was really super pleasant. Judy made me feel at home right from the beginning. The working hours normally did not exceed 2 hours / day. Whenever Judy went somewhere she asked me if I wanted to come. I was always welcome when friends came to visit or when Judy and Marcel were invited. Judy even found me a dojo at

She also organised a bike for me but January is not the best moment to go by bike as it gets dark quite early, and in the countryside there are not many electric lights along the street - but I imagine that in summer it's a good way to get around or also to the next bus station.
Thank you very much, Judy and Marcel, for this beautiful first workaway experience - and hopefully see you again soon!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

It was so very nice to have Eva with us for three weeks! Thanks to her, we got ahead on the winter pruning in the garden and a big start on spring cleaning with the kitchen. She pitched in on the mundane household tasks, and I was most appreciative of her willingness to iron! Being with Eva was fun: she shared our passion for cheeses, we exchanged

She cooked for us one night - a recipe from her mother - and it was a big hit that we will try to recreate ourselves!
Unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative, but Eva was a good sport about it. We hope that she will come back in another season when biking would be more fun!!Feedback

Vom Workawayer (Joice ) für Host
It is hard for me to put in words a feedback that could do justice to my experience at Judy’s and Marcel’s. The pictures of the house and accommodations are exactly as presented on the site and I must say I was lodged even better than my own home with a private bathroom and TV. Judy made sure to cater to my dietary requirements and I enjoyed all
… read more meals with the family, which made the moments « à la table » a great experience. I had the opportunity to engage with Judy’s professional tasks, as well as her social and community life, bringing me ways to practice the French language as it was my main goal there. Marcel was my sunshine I had the pleasure to create real affection and we spent quality time together with games, jokes, and plays that made everything fun. After almost a month together, I cannot lie about how much I missed them when I came back home!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Joice )
Joice brought energy, enthusiasm, good food, music, and fun to our house. Every morning started with a smile! Joice never stopped asking what she could do to help, and she undertook bigger tasks, like getting all the geranium pots ready for winter, as cheerfully as the daily household stuff, like doing dishes. We discovered delicious Brazilian

Joice had a major language project to work on, and she budgeted her time to study. We were pleased to be able to help and are sure that she will be successful.
In a very short period of time, Joice became part of our family. She promises to come back and we will be delighted!!

If you are looking for genuinely warm, friendly and generous hosts look no further than Judy and Marcel. I really enjoyed my stay as I was immediately welcomed into their home and made to feel part of the family. Judy enjoys cooking and prepares the best meals - lots of vegetables - so healthy and delicious eating. Marcel is a joy to take walks
… read more with - he loves to chat with everyone! The workaway accommodation is a clean, neat huge bedroom space with own bathroom and shower. The tasks I did consisted of outside gardening on good weather days and some inside organizing with Judy when the weather was bad. Judy is also very mindful and fair about the hours worked. She also gladly took me along with her on days she had errands in town and along for dinners with family and friends. All in all it was my best Workaway experience because I just really enjoyed both Judy and Marcel and felt so included by these two terrific people. I thoroughly recommend them for a workaway experience - you will be happy to have the chance to get to know them! And I know I'll see them again in the future because I already miss them!Vom Host für Workawayer (Lisa)
Having Lisa visit was like having a distant cousin who came to learn more about how and where we live. She became part of the family very quickly (and this despite not speaking much French), pitching in with garden work, kitchen tasks (she cuts vegetables like a pro, which she sort of is), organizational projects, games with Marcel, and pretty
… read more much whatever we were doing - she was very scrupulous about doing her share! She went with us just about everywhere, and it was easy to leave her on her own to explore while we did other errands. She integrated well into social gatherings with family and friends, and everyone enjoyed meeting her. We totally appreciated having her as part of our life, even if only for a couple of weeks.
Lisa introduced us to the world of tofu, and we introduced her to the game of "petanque"! We'd love to do more of both with her and hope she will return to us one day!!Wir haben festgestellt, dass es in deinem Profil weniger als 3 Fotos gibt.
