Help us improve biodiversity on our land in a permaculture way (gardening, trees, hedges, pond, compost...) and look after our hens.
At only 20 minutes from Angers in the Angevines Low Valleys.
We speak English. We are curious about other cultures and languages. We enjoy sharing around a good meal, cooking and chatting.
Aidez-nous à améliorer la biodiversité sur notre terrain en s'inspirant de la permaculture (maraîchage, arbres, haies, mare, compost...) et à nous occuper de nos poules.
A seulement 20 minutes d'Angers dans les basses vallées angevines.
Nous parlons anglais et sommes intéressés par les autres langues et cultures. Nous aimons échanger autour d'un repas, cuisiner et bavarder.

This winter, we need help for different activities : planting vines along the main wall of the house, taking care of the trees and the little fruits plants in the nurishing mini-forest, weeding the hedges and mulching them, removing brambles, making permaculture mounds (grass, leaves, wood, dung, ...), collecting and cutting wood, moving and cleaning the henhouse, oiling the doors of the barn and the beams of the patio ...
Cet hiver, nous avons besoin d'aide pour différentes activités : planter des lianes et plantes grimpantes le long du mur de façade de la maison, entretenir les arbres et les plants de petits fruits dans la mini-forêt nourricière, désherber les haies et les pailler, enlever des ronces, faire des buttes de permaculture (herbe, feuilles, bois, crottin, ...), ramasser et couper du bois, déplacer et entretenir le poulailler, huiler les portes de la grange et les poutres de la terrasse...

I am an English teacher in a secondary school. I like sharing with people from other cultures and languages. I can help with learning French (oral skills). I am interested in practicing Spanish (which I learnt at school but can't speak).
Unterkunft
2 individual bedrooms with double beds in the family house.
We cook together for lunch and dinner. We mainly consume local, organic and seasonal products and meat and fish.
We can take into account the preferences and dietary choices of workawayers.
We have two cats.

Only 20 minutes from Angers and its castle, an hour and a half from the sea side. Lots of cycling routes along the Loire, the Sarthe and the Loir available nearby. Easy access to bus stop and train station.
We can provide bikes.
Cycling, swimming, trekking, horse-riding, cinema, theatre ... Visit of the Loire castles. One-day trip to the sea side. Shopping (!). Visit of local farms and permaculture sites.
A seulement 20 minutes d'Angers et de son château, à une heure et demie du bord de mer. De nombreuses pistes cyclables le long de la Loire, de la Sarthe et du Loir à proximité. Accès facile à un arrêt de bus et une gare.
Nous pouvons prêter des vélos.
Promenades à vélo, natation, randonnée, équitation, cinéma, théâtre... Visite des châteaux de la Loire. Séjour en bord de mer d'une journée. Visite de fermes et projets permaculturels alentour.

I stayed with them for 2 weeks, they were both very welcoming and would help me with any need/request that I had.
The work itself was not hard and they came towards me and let me work in the hours that I preferred.
I had my own room to myself inside their house.
Overall I would recommend :)
