  Hi! We're Lazar (from Serbia) and Arrow (from China). We live on the outskirts of Fruška Gora national park, on the slopes of Fruška Gora mountain, half an hour's drive from Novi Sad and an hour from Belgrade. We've been living here for 4 years, learning about gardening, growing crops, renovating, building, maintaining the property etc.
  
  I (Lazar) have been a member of other hospitality exchange networks for more than 20 years, and I’ve hosted and stayed with what must be hundreds of people. Hospitality is important to me, and I see Workawayers first and foremost as guests, not just extra farm hands.
  
  *** Arrow is in China attending to family matters, so it's only Lazar on the farm for the rest of this year. Which might affect the quality of the cooking, but other than that it's business as usual. ***

  If there is a skill you'd like to learn , just let us know, and we'll do our best to give you a crash course. Same goes for growing fruits and vegetables, mushroom hunting, looking after trees... basically anything you see around here, just feel free to ask, and we'll be happy to show you.

  Arbeit

  What we need help with generally depends on the season: gardening (weeding, watering, pruning, digging etc), fruit picking, making jams and other fruit preserves, chopping firewood, maintaining the yard (sweeping, mowing the grass and so on), and various light repair & building projects on the property. You don't need to be strong or fit, but you should at least be acquainted with the concept of helping outside and getting your hands dirty. We will do our best to find tasks that suit your abilities; if a task doesn't suit you, feel free to say so and we'll think of something else. We don't check how many hours you've spent helping - that is entirely up to you and your work ethic.
  
  There are no animals on the farm (other than the cat).

  Unterkunft

  You get a separate room all to yourself. It's a nice modern room, like any other in the house.
  We provide all the food. We generally don't eat meat. If you are vegan, we cook vegan. A lot of what we eat comes from our garden, orchard and the forest.

  Was noch ...

  The forest starts right at the end of the village, so hiking is an obvious option (the national park is about 80 km long and mostly covered by forest). The mountain is criss-crossed by marked hiking trails, and we can share some nearby GPS trails that you can follow on your phone.
  
  We have a lot of books in English and you are welcome to help yourself to our library. The village is small and there is no public transport to anywhere, but we do have a car and are happy to take you wherever you need to be.
  
  Also, please keep in mind:
  
  1) There isn't much work at the moment, so we can only accept one person at a time.
  2) Make sure your profile pic shows your face.
  3) Non-smokers only.
