Descripción
We are Ando and Ana. We are freelancers and one year ago we moved to the hills of San Donnino Abbey.
Ando is an anthropologist and I'm a translator and Spanish teacher. We are also musicians, we play together folk and traditional music (Local, Balkan, irish French... and so on) :)
Ando is an outside smoker.
We have a very cute cat.
If you speak Italian, as we are in Italy, it's a plus.
The house is located in the middle of nowhere, in a little forest at 15 minutes by car from the nearest town and 1h walk following trekking paths. It is better if you have a way to move, otherwise you could feel a bit isolated, unless this is what you are looking for. We can borrow you a normal mountain bike.
In the house we like to organize events, like concerts, readings, walks, etc..

You can improve your Spanish or Italian as Ando is Italian and I'm Spanish. The room is very nice , we prepare good Italian food and there are plenty of musical instruments that you can use (guitar, electric bass, piano, ukelele, tuba ad trombone, accordion, violin, flute), a mtb bike to go around, a lot of paths to walk and if you come over summer the river in Rocca San Casciano is a nice place to see.
Ayuda
We are looking for people able to give a hand actively with the house chores, as cleaning and cooking (we all can do that by turns) and keeping the house in order as a normal flatmate.
We need help cutting trees, chopping wood and preparing it for the fireplace and stoves. Also taking care of the garden cutting the grass, wild plants and cleaning the little forest around us.
We are looking for someone to help us creating a constructed wetland to treat the wastewater.
A lot of cleaning. We have a pantry to clean and adapt to store food and objects, and also a garage, in total is 60 square meters to put some order in. So if you are handy and independent using tools you will have fun here.
Please note: we are in a house in the woods, there are insects, dust, and it can be very cold in winter.

We are interested in practice French, Portuguese and German. In the house we usually speak Italian and Spanish.
Alojamiento
The house is and old stone house restored.
You will have a room by your own or it could be shared with other guests too depending of the time of the year.
You can also sleep in a tent outside if you prefer.

The house is located in San Donnino, the nearest town is Rocca San Casciano.
There is a lot of nature to walk and we can borrow you a mountain bike. In Rocca San Casciano they have also e-bikes.
You can also pick flowers and chestnuts in the area.
In Rocca San Casciano, mainly by summer there are little parties and events, readings...
You can also have a bath in the river in the area.
We have plenty of books in different languages so you can also relax and read.
Of course you can use all our instruments and also try them.
We usually go to party's and visit friends, you can of course come over with us!

We have an studio where we work with printer, good internet and it's a quiet space. Also, the room for the workaways is very cozy and it has a normal desk to work.

Pets are welcome, but we prefer not to have big dogs in the house, but it can stay outside no problem.
