Dear Sara and Johana, you left us with hands empty when you were gone. The joy and pleasure you bring with you is already helpfull. It was good that you were together, because in the height of summer, we are very busy. You had fun together, and were well attuned to each other. … read more your hands. You adapt easily and have a friendly atmosphere with you. Johana in particular is a strong communicator and does not hesitate to ask and tell something. Sara is more the contemplative, slightly introverted enjoyer. Together a perfect couple to have around you. You did the boring work, without complaining and it helped us immensely. You can always come back;) We wish you all the luck
The place Ed and Elvire created together is so beautiful and it was our pleasure to be part of it for few weeks. They are very nice Dutch couple always open to help and they are both caring, kind and funny. We had so many great lunches. Elvire is a good cook. … read more beautiful stone house and could use their unique kitchen. Our room was super cozy, we felt at home and very safe, we had many good sleeps because of how quiet the place was. You can also watch stars so easily. French countryside has its magic, it was so beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed making trips and walks and Ed and Elvire borrowed us their car also so we can drive around towns and places not so reachable by the foot. Days were slow. We read books a lot and if you are looking for some peace and tranquillity, here you will definitely find it. Thank you for everything, we are greatful that we could be in this beautiful place. We will be coming back! See you!❤️

Our first Workaway experience and it couldn´t be better!
We stayed by Elvira & Ed for 2 weeks and we had such a great time. Both of them are very nice and talkative people. They gave as a lot of tips for trips and recommened us which local food we should try.
The old farmhouse where we stayed was very cozy and beautiful (and also cool in such
… read more warm weather!). There was also a swimmingpool, which we could use. Unfortunately the place was a bit remote so we used our car a lot to visit more distant places.
Job was diverse and pretty easy. During the morning we worked on different tasks such as changing sheets, vacuuming floor and bathroom cleaning. Sometimes we watered plants.
In the afternoon we had time for ourself. We went for walks around the neighborhood. One day we climed the highest mountain around called Mont Mézenc. The view from the top was breathtaking. The other day we took a trip to nearby waterfalls. Every day we saw a lot of charming historical architecture all around.
We loved local building style, houses from raw stones, troughs with water in the center of almost every village.
Villages there are built so different then in the Czechia. We both really enjoyed nature. It was very clean a gorgeous.
After excellent dinner (which Elvira cooked every night), we washed the dishes and helped around the kitchen a bit.
It was really amazing vacation! We had many good chats and discussed the differences in our cultures and habbits a lot. Say hi from us to Doris and kitties.
