Sofia and Ignacio unfortunately only stayed for 1 week. Enthusiastic, cheerful, friendly, eager to learn and always ready to roll up their sleeves. We learned a lot about their way of life in Argentina. Nice to chat and laugh together. All this shows why we thought it was a shame that they had to leave so soon.
Anything is possible. Until we meet

Ellen and Remco were the best! They were super kind, and we learned so much about Dutch and Norwegian culture while sharing lots of laughs with them. The experience was incredible, if you like nature, this is the place for you! Even though the weather wasn’t the best, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one night, and it was something

The work at the yellow house was fun and diverse. We learned so much with Remco, he’s very knowledgeable and always willing to teach.
We would have loved to stay longer, and without a doubt, we’d love to return! Wishing you all the best, hugs to everyone (especially to Ubbe and Floki :))!

I had a fantastic time during my first Workaway with Ellen and Remco. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. They are friendly and fun to talk to, always open to sharing stories and experiences. I especially enjoyed our conversations about their unique life journey.

The surrounding nature is absolutely stunning, with good opportunities for 1-day hikes. Whether it was exploring the nearby trails or simply enjoying the views, every moment was a delight. I am very grateful for the kindness and hospitality they showed me throughout my stay. It was a truly memorable experience, and I highly recommend staying with them.Dejado por el anfitrión para el workawayer (Daniela)
Daniela was here for a week. In this week she has shown that she is willing to learn and it doesn't matter what work you give her. For example, she helped us sand the drywall, install ceiling tiles and saw firewood. She does everything with enthusiasm. She is a pleasant lady with broad interests and we have had interesting conversations with her.

Perrine came to us after a long train/bus journey and fit into our daily lives from the first minute. Perrine is a sweet, eager to learn, unstoppable worker who tackles everything. She absorbs knowledge like a sponge and gets to work with it. She tackles unfamiliar tasks and challenges after a thorough explanation and does not stop until she has

In addition to the fact that she participated 100% in our project, helping out in daily life was also a matter of course for Perrine. We had good, nice, serious conversations and, above all, had a lot of fun working. In short...if Perrine offers herself as a workawayer, we advise you to welcome her immediately.

How can I describe this incredible experience without writing a novel? Firstly, Ellen and Remco welcomed me into their home and daily life with a hospitality I had rarely experienced. I quickly felt at ease and integrated. Remco spent his time introducing me to new knowledge every day. He was very patient and educational. I have rarely met anyone

Also, every evening she was preparing a delicious meal cooked with love :) Of course, my comment wouldn't be complete without mentioning the two adorable border colies who punctuated the days and made my stay even more sparkling!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Jan was with us for a total of 3 weeks and was a nice, good, inquisitive and calm person. We had a great time working together and learned a lot from each other. Jan is creative, curious and tackles all work with conviction. Jan loved being able to put various things from his theoretical training into practice. He never thought that he would need

We exchanged many ideas during work, dinner or coffee/tea during the many good conversations.
A good point is that Jan also takes and gives privacy in the evening.
All in all, Jan is a nice, interesting person and a good worker. It will not be a punishment for the next host(s) to have to work with Jan.

My stay with Ellen and Remco was absolutely perfect! I stayed with them for three weeks and learned so much about their life while I was there. They have a lot of experience with the Norwegian culture and love to share their knowledge about all sorts of things in life. I can't emphasize enough how loving, caring and open they were.
The work I had
… read more to help with was most of all focussed on the renovation project Remco was working on. I mostly helped with putting in isolation and some timber construction. In the three weeks Remco teached me all sorts of things considering this job. From how to use certain tools and machine to different building and construction methods. It was a true exchange of knowledge and experience.
In my free time I got to explore the surroundings for a bit. Walking in the mountains just behind Remco and Ellens house, biking through the nearby village or the island Dyrøya and going to Finnsnes. Besides this there was some time too with the amazing Floki and Ube, the two very active and loving border collies. I even got to experience a local bingo evening.
The gorgeous location Ellen and Remco live makes a stay with them even more amazing. The sea, mountains and islands that are all in sight are truly beautiful. Overall, Ellen and Remco were amazing hosts and very kind people.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Alberto,
Your stay of nearly two weeks with us was a marvelous first experience with Workaway for us. We worked together in the ongoing project where you showed to be eager to learn new skills. We laughed a lot, while we did serious precise work. It seemed that the words 'No' and 'I don't want' doesn't exist in your dictionary. We learned a lot

You fitted perfect in the family and respected and took the privacy. We hope you will meet your lifetime partner (with blue eyes 😉) and to hear about your beautiful Aska. We will miss your enthousiasme and help. Thank you for everything.
ALBERTO, LIVE YOUR DREAM.💪🏻
Until we meet again 👋🏻

Remco & Ellen
How to describe my stay with these wonderful people?
If you are reading this and you are going to stay and share with them, I think you will be a pretty lucky person!
I don't think there are words to describe what it's like to share with people like them.
Every night before going to sleep I gave thanks for finding people like

It has been one of the most magnificent experiences I have had in my life! They really made my trip to Norway magical!
They are a very united couple with a beautiful family who enjoy the little things in life and who are quite authentic!
They made me feel really at home!
I learned a lot from them, both life lessons and their culture! It was really surprising that even though they are Dutch I was able to learn a lot about Norwegian culture from them!
They are those people with you don't want time to pass fast and you feel lucky enough that life puts them in your way!
Working besides Remco on his project is exciting, because even though he is a great teacher and teaches you a lot, he makes you feel part of the project , and no one does that, he makes you feel important! (For me it was never work, on the contrary I was eager every day to help him )
What can I tell you about Ellen?? She is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life!! 😍
I was their first Workaway and I really feel very excited that they have opened the doors of their house and their life to me!
Seeing them live together and how they have stories together makes me dream of having a future like this with my life partner!
I would like my life to be like theirs and travel the way they do!
I shared very magical moments that perhaps for them were normal moments but for me they really were moments that I will remain engraved in my heart!Enjoy the ourdoors in the Norwegian fjord, Norway
