The experience with Maria was fabulous! she is great, polite reliable funny and very good with my kid
It was a big pleasure having her at home with us, she is a very interesting woman, with a lot of solid ideas and always ready to learn something and share her stories. We are a host family since 2018 and Pietro knows that our 'tatas' come and go
… read more but this time was very diffucult to let her go (for me too)
Pietro is very lucky because now he has a big sister in Spain and we hope she will come back again, soon, to spend time with us!

I was supposed to stay with Francesca and her family for barely a month, but I liked it so much it turned into 3!
I'm very grateful I had the opportunity to meet Francesca, Pietro and Tiziana, who made me feel welcome from the very first moment! They are a warm and energetic family, and I have had so much fun with them! From that first mountain
… read more trip that helped me get to know them a bit more, to the weekly Friday movie nights (on Wednesdays, which just makes it much better :)), the lovely conversations with Francesca and her amazing cooking classes (will never forget her ultimate carbonara recipe!), and all those evenings drawing, constructing or making stop-motion movies with Pietro... They have become memories I will always cherish!
Pietro is such a fun, creative and easy-going kid, and great at learning languages too! He will always have a game, a drawing or a story to write in mind, so it is impossible to get bored with him (I really hope he keeps making comic vignettes because he is great at them!) Always very kind and well-mannered, and always very open to listen and arrive to an agreement!
The location is also stunning, very close to the sea and the mountains, and very well connected by train with so many cities and interesting places to see! The work/free time balance was perfect for doing little trips here and there, and Francesca was always there to recommend me the best places, give me tips, and introduce me to other Workawayers to make friends with!

I stayed with this amazing (BRAVISSIMA) family for 6 weeks and with was a totally fantastic experience. Francesca and Nicola are amazing parents and humans beings. With them I improved my Italian and taste a lot of different and delicious Italian dishes. Pietro is a very energetic and kind boy (his english is better than mine hahahaha).

… read more time to know a little bit of their relatives also, Tizziana (Francesca's Mom) it's a great cooker and a very sweet and lovely lady (despite our communication problems cause I am not fluent in italian), I really adored her. Mario and Vera (Nicola's parents) are very sweets and very warm. I really felt that I was surrounded by uncles and aunts close to them.
I had a really comfortable time with them, and I highly recommend this stunning family.
I had a private room, and a lot of privacy as well. Also I had a lot of free time to explore the surroundings of Ripa (Seravezza a stunning city surrounded by mountains, Pietrasanta very historic and full of arts, Forte dei Marmi a coast town with a very large and stunning beach, and etc). They provided to me a bicycle that I could use in my free time. Also they helped me in a way that maybe they will never know, but this lovely family really changed my life. Hope to see them and the sweet Pietro soon again.

Lauren is such a nice person! We spent togheter 2 months and she really became a friend. She is a great listener and she is incredibly able to do craft project! She became a member of my family really sooner and It was a pleasure meeting her on our path of Life:)

In the fall of 2018, I spent three months with this wonderfully gracious family. I felt so welcomed into Francesca's family, she even located Italian group lessons for me to attend in the nearby town. … read more at the time was such a prince and so much fun to play with. The village of Ripa is close to the sea and a river which makes for nice walks. And Rocko the dog is sweet and likes to play with a different type of a ball. I experienced a lot with Francesca and her family including Tiziana, Bea, and her children; We carved pumpkins for Halloween, watched the Macy's day parade which is my American tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving and made Christmas decorations. I came to appreciate the art of aperitivo, olives and how to cook fresh vegetables from the garden. When I left her household, I felt like I had gained a sorella. I have nothing but fond memories of the area and the family and I am guessing you will also.
