I spent a lovely week with Helen and her family. They were all very kind and welcoming, and made an effort to make me feel comfortable in their home. The work was never too hard, I spent some time doing housework, gardening and weeding, and learnt a lot from Helen while I was doing it. The house was cosy and landscape beautiful, I really enjoyed

The family were even kind enough to take me to some tourist sites in the local area, I particularly enjoyed the trip to see Cradle Mountain and the opportunity to kayak at the lake. Kitty had one week with us, she was quiet (but not too quiet) and unassuming, polite and good-natured, willing to do whatever was required. She worked well alone or with me. Mostly I needed help with gardening, weeding, mulching digging and spreading compost all of which Kitty was happy to do and did well. She related well to all members of the

I found her to have an excellent work ethic, and a sunny nature, she is a very positive person which is such a wonderful trait. They warmly welcomed me from into their family and made me feel at home.
I especially enjoyed all the lovely family dinners and board game afternoons, it was soo much fun learning new games and sharing German games with them.

I helped around the farm and the house with various tasks and I enjoyed the work a lot. They gave me great insight in a healthy, sustainable lifestyle and how to home grow your food. Their vegetable garden is amazing! Helen was very flexible with working hours and I had plenty of free time.
Thank you for this amazing time and my unforgetable first Tasmanian farm experience!
I have no hesitation recommending this host to anyone.

Staying in Helen's home was a great experience for us. They welcomed us as family members and we felt at home from the beginning. We stayed only one week with Helen, Tim and their four children, though we enjoyed every day with them. We worked a few hours per day in the garden, in the kitchen or playing with the boys.
All the animals are lovely
… read more and we appreciated to be in this hobby farm. We also loved using veggies from the garden for cooking.
Thanks to them, we improved a bit our english and our cooking skills !
We also learned a lot about Tasmania and Autralia in general thanks to Helen and Tim, and we loved sharing our knowledges about France and Europe as well.

Chloe's stay with us was a blessing, it is a comfort and a privilege to meet people like Chloe. She is warm and ready to fit in to family life. I worked most days of her stay and left her a range of jobs to do while I was away from gardening to housework she completed each task well and entertained the children for me. I stayed on the little hobby farm for 2 weeks and felt welcome from the first moment. Helen, Tim and their family are lovely people. I really enjoyed playing games with the children and teaching them a few new ones.

… read more Trowunna Wildlife park with the Tasmanian Devils and a pretty beach in Ulverstone. I'm glad I could spend Australia Day with this family because they brought me to their typical Australian ceremony with a common breakfast.
I really like their lifestyle growing most of the food by themselves. The food was always tasty especially the selfmade pizzas every friday night.
The work wasn't too hard and I never had to work for more than 5 hours a day. I did a lot of weeding and gardening and a few household jobs like cleaning, ironing and tidying.

We had the pleasure of hosting Owen for two weeks. He was keen to help however we needed. The main project I wanted done was to put a fence up around my vegetable garden a d I had never put up a fence before so we learnt together. Owen was very patient!
