We had a such a great experience with Rosanne that we are still missing her. We can not believe she is gone. We wish we can see her very soon, at least, for a visit!! We usually do not host workawayers for a short period, as children need some stability... but Rosanne made it so easy from the very first minute. Children were so pleased with her!!!

It was a short stay with the family, but I felt incredibly welcome. The children are very friendly and easy to get along with. As a 'workawayer,' you truly become part of the family. I was even invited to spend a weekend away with them. Thank you so much!

Bec has been around one month with us but time flew so quick...
It has been such a pleasure to host her!!!
She is a very calm and thoughtful person.
Children took a couple of days to get familiar as she was very respectful, after then children were just asking about her at all times... No time for screens, only for playing games in and

Also, she was a very good math and geometric teacher for our kid. He got th
highest marks!!!
On the other hand, she was of great help at home, as we both work and some days... The house would have been a big mess if she was not at home.
We would be so delighted if she somes back... and we wish we can go to visit her to Australia when our little daughter grows up.
We are sure that we will meet her up again and again...
Definetly, she has a place in our world!!!!

Olivia has stayed twice with us!! The second time was for 6 months... and we could not be happier :-D We do miss her so much. Children did specially click with her. She is so cheerful and her smile/laugh is contagious. It is very nice to have a chat with her, no matter it is a deep discussion or a daily stuff.
We are lucky that she left part of her luggage at home for a trip before her next destination, so we can enjoy her presence once again!!!

Marco is a very happy and sociable boy who also helped me a lot the first few days and showed me how everything works. I had such a good time talking with him and we spend a lot of time playing games ! they also loves to sing, or just read a story with you before bedtime.
the appartment is in the center and close to everything, and Sergio and Che can also cool very well !

So thanks to this website I found a perfect family where I could start my new life here... Need to say first, how HUGE help there were for me from the beginning (or even a few weeks before I
… read more started to live with them). I love Sergio's attitude, there is no problem that can't be fixed with an easy and elegant solution. He is always ready to help you with anything you would need. And I was always amazed how easily he is able to switch from English language (when kids are around) to Spanish when we were alone and he helped me to learn as much Spanish as possible... Thanks for that!
With Che we had so many beautiful moments full of laugh and nice chats, she is an amazing woman, who is here always for everybody who needs some help. You can see every day how much she loves her family even when she works hard and her job is very difficult, she will find the time to do something together... I felt so welcomed in the family from the first day. I never forget the moment when they called me to the dinner and they made me sit in the middle between kids, saying: "From now you're a part of our family for the rest of our lives." This gave my such a great feeling, especially in my situation not knowing anyone else in Málaga, far from my home and my own family. I appreciate them so deeply for this support they gave me...
And about the kids I could talk forever... I just adore them both. Marco is a very clever boy, who is most of the time behaving so much older than he is, so he really became my buddy and brother since the beginning. He is used to introduce everything and everybody to a new workaway, so he was a big help for me also. And the level, how he speaks 3 languages (Es, Fr, En) in his age is just amazing. He can play a lot of games, he plays football, piano, loves in-lines, reading books and we had always a great time together (especially in the evenings in front of the chimney 🔥). Jara is a lovely girl, who is also always ready to play. Her creativity left me amazed every time. Her imagination, deep focus and skill to finnish what she started are adorable. We did a lot of painting together, dancing, in-lines and acrobatic choreographies, brushing hair to each other (that was my favorite one🥰) and creating some hairstyles ... We also played piano (where she shows better memory to remember chords than me😅).
Another important and great thing for me was, that when ever I needed to manage something (administration, appointment, car service), we found a solution and they allowed me to do that. They are very opened and easy-going so I loved that I could talk openly about everything with them. They respected my time and space, so I had always a privacy in my room and during weekends it was up to me if I want to stay with them or have my own program...
I miss them all already, so I'm glad that I'm staying in Málaga, so we can stay in touch... If you want to create lifetime memory, contact this family and come to Málaga, you won't regret it... 😉🙏❤️Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

… read more knows how to keep priorities clear so the children are well entertained and well behaved. She is calm and elegant, transmitting peace to children at the same time that they are having fun. She enjoyed playing with the children indoor and outdoor. She spent plenty of time doing handcraft activities, making dancing and rolling coreographies, playing cards, painting stones, origami, playing piano, etc; at the same time that she would speak english or french to the children. Also, she would join parents for going hiking on the mountains, chatting with parents and friends, or cicling.
During this period, we also had the chance of meeting her mother and sister. Marbelous family. So, no wonder where her beautiful personality comes from.
We are very happy that she is going to stay in Málaga, if things keep going right for her. So we will have the opportunity to meet her many other times....

As for the parents - Sergio and Che have such an admirable and optimistic attitude to life which I have never seen in anyone before. As for Malaga, it's a charming city which is inviting at all times of the year, I personally loved the port and the historic center, which is beaming with culture. The large flat is in a perfect location in the heart of the city and I explored the entire city on foot. The plazas where the children play are beautiful, filled with inviting and sociable family friends.

I'm Steel not aware that I'm not living with Serjio's family anymore. After seven month with this family it's really difficult to come back to your home country without Marco who is calling you to pass you the ball, and without Jara around collecting the Rocks to build a kingdom.

… read more learning and so fun. We had a lot of fun together, Playing in the square or at home, singing, dancing a lot, running, painting. A part of my work was to help Marco in Frensh homework, I enjoyed a lot doing it, we try to do activitys or to speek about a new subjuct while doing the homework, so he don't get bored, it wasn't easy everyday but that's what makes it special, you discover what is working with the kids to support them, how to attract them and make it last for a longer time, every time was a challenge a very beautiful one, like him :)
After 7 months working with this family I gained a lot, a Lot !!
Only by being so close to such a brave parents you can discover what is a dream parents. Apart that they are very open-minded, helpful and fun.

… read more precious child going to the the beach, walking through the mazed center of Malaga, enjoying the sunshine at the playgrounds, and making silly faces at each other. The work was more like play and I found it very special to be watching a very mellow toddler like Jara. She truly deserves only workawayers that love children and will be patient with her. She takes time to warm up to you but once she does the love she brings into your life is incredible! Her brother, Marco, is very intelligent, caring, but completely WILD at times!! He can a bit too much to handle on your own. (Although, that is only required a couple times during the stay).
I found Malaga to be filled with something new everyday, a great place to learn Spanish and to indulge in yummy fresh food from the farmers market! It is by far a wonderful city to visit!
Aside from that I would like to advise the coming workawayers that this family tends to have a lot of guest over at times (therefore, it can get loud- like Spanish culture loud), the wifi connection is limited with electronics that aren't computers, and due to the language barrier- there could be confusions in certain situation.

… read more highly reccomend the experience to stay with this family. You will have to talk english with the kids, but the parents are talking spanish to you if you would like to learn the language. Furthermore they are very active and do trips with other families and children. I was always invited and experienced lots of "local stuff" and interesting places. Also Sergio cooks quite good dishes (I really loved his "portaje"!) and you have a nice room in a beautiful flat in the middle of the city-center of Málaga (I also love the city quite much).
