  - Any kind of kindergarten teacher is always welcome (PE, music, art, school, etc.).
  - Photographer who is also OK doing other chores.
  - Someone very techie to help setting up Arlo cameras, Alexas and other devices.
  
  Hello! I'm Solana (American-Argentine), My Argentine-Spanish bagpiper husband, our 3-year-old twins and I have a spacious home haven located in the heart of Palermo (the trendiest neighborhood in BA). We have a dog, two cats and a tortoise, who are the kings of our garden. We also have an all-year-round pool, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunny Buenos Aires even in winter.
  I work from home and my husband travels quite a bit but when he’s in town he works from home too.
  Jacinta lives with us too, she does the cleaning and helps me a lot especially when my husband is out of town.
  What we look for when hosting a workawayer is someone who speaks English (and preferably only English), likes kids and is creative. We sometimes need some help with the twins (playing, swimming, biking or cooking with them) and sometimes stuff in the house needs to be fixed, so if you are a DYI enthusiast, you’ll always find an unfinished project here! We will want to paint the house in the near future so if you are handy at that, you’ll be especially welcome!
  We have had many experiences with visitors from all over and we love it! We are open to having you just stay in the house and do your own thing, or stay here and have meals with us, whatever you prefer. We understand sometimes travelers have a very busy schedule! So we can agree on something that works for both you and us. Generally, the arrangement we make is 25 hours a week of you helping us (normally 10 hours are on weekends, but we are pretty flexible), and we provide housing, some food and friendship, coziness, and family. We take in workawayers as if they were part of our pack.
  We are all super friendly, except for the tortoise, but at least she is slow and will give you time to run away!
  
  
  May 2025: no availability, except for Fridays, Saturdays and some Sundays.
  June 2025: availability the first three weeks of June.
  July 2025: full availability
  August 2025: availability starting August 12

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  I am a language teacher so I can help you with Spanish. My husband is a musician and will be available to share his interest with you as much as you want. We have a piano and many other instruments. We also have lots of books (I used to be an avid reader… before the kids!) and we are extremely social so our house is usually the meeting place for our friends to make asados (typical barbecues), and have mate (our typical morning and afternoon tea). I love biking and own a bike you could borrow, and there are bike lanes all over our neighborhood, in addition to great parks in the area. My husband is a great cook and is willing to share his recipes and secrets! I am terrible in the kitchen but I used to be a TV producer so I am very good at finding solutions to all sorts of situations, logistically and practically! Our kids will laugh with you and give you hugs and tell you stories and show you their toys… not sure how much they will lend… they are still learning to share 😂

  Arbeit

  I’d like my kids to be more exposed to English. We would like to host someone who could play with them a few of hours a day (and/or a chunk of hours on weekends) and that could have fun with all of us as a family. We also need someone who considers themselves a handy person, likes DIY projects, etc. as our house is very big and we always have something pending in the house. Obviously no need to be able to do everything!!
  It is important for us that you enjoy yourself while in BA and we will help in any way necessary for that to happen.

  Unterkunft

  Our house is big so you will be as independent as you like. There’s all the comfort of a typical big city house (hot water, WiFi, clean place, sheets, towels, etc). Plus the pool (all year!! Warm and indoors), bike, garden, pets. We do have rules, you can come and go at any time (no curfew), but we have a security system so you’ll probably need to turn it on when you are back home if is later than our bedtime.

  We are open and flexible and are looking for someone who is too. We have both travelled a lot and met people from all over the world and we think traveling is the best experience one can have. So enjoy being a workawayer!

  Our internet connection is the best available, but it is still pretty bad in my American opinion. Argentina has a lot of work to do in that sense!! That being said, both my husband and I work online and we rarely have an internet related issue that prevents us from working well.
