  We are a busy family looking for some extra help around our home. We have two rooms in a detached section of the house. Shared workaway bathroom and kitchenette with a convection microwave as well as an outdoor BBQ. If you are a group of 1-2, you would have one room, and another workawayer could be staying in the other room. If you are a larger group. you may have both rooms. The rooms fit a queensize bed and wardrobe for storage and both have ceiling fans. We also have spare single size mattresses, if you need two beds
  
  Free Time and Exploration: You will have plenty of opportunities to explore the local area. We provide electric bicycles, so you can easily visit nearby parks, beaches, and scenic spots during your free time. There are beautiful trails and stunning coastline views waiting for you to discover.

  What We Expect:Help with household chores, gardening, homeschooling (in the art of bike riding, swimming, the beach, park, bike track.) If you enjoy a balance of work and exploration and are looking forward to experiencing the local beauty in your downtime, we'd love to hear from you! We are looking for someone who is happy to do 12.5 hours per week, which is often 2.5 hours per day for five days of the week, but can be condensed into fewer days.
  
  Due to us having special diets we cannot provide food, but there is an outdoor bbq/indoor kitchen for you to prepare meals.
  
  We have a biocycle toilet and treat all wastewater on site. Only toilet paper can go down the toilet. Nothing else under any circumstances. If you tend to use toilets as rubbish bins, please pass.
  
  The people who love our place: bike riders: Easy access to Burleigh and the North if you are comfortable on an electric bike. 15 min flat easy ride to Palm Beach surf break
  Surfers: we are flexible with working hours. If you want to surf, there is a surfboard rack on the bike, go catch waves everyday. You are ten min drive from Burleigh, Palm Beach and the alley, Currumbin
  Horse lovers: Our horses always want extra love
  Adventurers: The entire Gold Coast
  Gardeners; Likes pulling things out of dirt, and putting other things back in the dirt
  
  People who dont like our place: Omar apparentally ;-) I work 14-16 hours a day and then homeschool. No I dont hang around like a bad smell…I mean host. We dont provide food, we also dont provide toilet paper. Yes, another workawayer will probably greet you, or my child, or anyone but me, as I am too busy and I delegate whatever I can. The kitchen is small…but its three times bigger than the kitchen we shared with 30 people at a $500/night lodge in Breckenridge. The bedroom is also 3 times bigger, and so is the bathroom!!! We are so easy going here, if you feel the bathroom needs attention, happy for your first workaway day to be cleaning it. We are looking for mature adults to come stay, that ARE happy to clean (it is a workaway after all) and if you arent happy, its all good. Our workaway is not for everyone. We are fine with that. Other people love it here, they come for a week and stay for half a year. We wont be holding your hand, or wiping your bottom, or feeding your belly, because, we dont need to. We live in a tourism capital of Australia. With the bikes you have easy access to HUNDREDS of amazing cafes. There is a small supermarket a few minutes walk away that has everything you could need, and then jump on the bike and you are within ten minutes of a bigger shopping centre with a Woolworths. We are inclusive of ALL types here. Just no time for ghosters.
  
  As we are not registered as a short term accomodation provider, we prefer workawayers who are looking for a stay of a few weeks or longer. Our longest workawayer has been six months, another was four months. All were avid surfers. We are a short ride to the world surfing reserve (bikes and surfboard holder supplied) and surfers seem to particularly like to workaway here

  Our property is equipped with plenty of activities to keep travelers entertained during their downtime, including a pool, spa, basketball court, and pool table. The setting itself offers a unique and enriching experience, allowing travellers to relax and enjoy their stay.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for assistance with a variety of tasks to help keep our home and garden running smoothly. A significant portion of the work will involve gardening, including planting, weeding, and general upkeep of our outdoor spaces. In addition, we may need help with various household tasks such as cleaning and organizing.
  Sometimes we will need someone to take our son for excursions while we are working. We appreciate flexibility and a positive attitude, as the specific tasks can vary from day to day. We can be very busy at times, sometimes on the first day you will need to get your own room ready to stay in.

  There are two rooms available in the house. They are in a detached section of the house, one has direct access to the bathroom, the other you will need to walk outside but undercover a short distance to access the bathroom.

  We are 8-15 minutes from surf beaches in Currumbin, Burleigh Heads and Palm Beach. We are ten min by car and 25min bike ride to Currumbin rock pools and are adjacent to hundreds of acres of parkland with paths throughout.
  There is no public transport. You will use electric bikes to get around.
