Descripción
The Eco-Hotel started as a family project aimed to protect the Mexican tropics with its abundant jungle and forests. Our two main objectives are conservation of the existing nature and support for the local communities living in the area.
Pichucalco is reach in cacao and sustainable agriculture in the north of Chiapas. The terrain consists of two hectares of jungle with a diversity of fauna and flora that will remain untouched by the project.
Our purpose is to create ecotourism in the area, supported by alternative activities such as hiking, wildlife or nature observation, nightly walks, local and traditional gastronomy workshops, organic agriculture, herbal medicine workshops, etcetera.
We will also conduct visits to beautiful locations such as the Malpasito Archaelogical Site, Chapultenango, the Chichonal volcano and the Rio Blanco.

During this volunteer period you will learn about ecological construction using bamboo & coconut and finishing´s with bio-materials of the area.
Ayuda
We are looking for volunteers willing to help out during the construction of the eco-hotel.
We have organic ingredients to prepare food and would be happy if you teach us new dishes, and meals to learn from each other. In the morning the volunteers organise themselves for breakfast. Lunch is provided by us and we can make vegetarian food.
Finally, we want our team members to be able to speak foreign languages, so it would be great if we can have some volunteers willing to teach our staff English and possibly other languages.
Experience in the abovementioned positions is welcome, but not necessary. We welcome everyone who is willing to learn and help.
The local weather is very warm and it is usually raining, do not forget to cover yourself to protect you from mosquitos and ants.

You will share a cabin with other volunteers. Each volunteer will have a single bed or bunk bed to sleep in. Of course you will also have access to showers and bathrooms. 1 mixed room for 8 people. 1 ladys rooms 4 people. 2 badrooms. 1 kitchen and a dinning room
