During your homestay in Kyoto, you’ll have the chance to experience the beauty of each season:
cherry blossoms in spring, fireworks and festivals in summer, colorful autumn leaves, and peaceful, snow-covered temples in winter.

If you’re not a picky eater, we’d love to introduce you to a variety of home-style Japanese meals.
It’s a lot of fun to try small snacks and seasonal foods, too!

We live in a convenient yet quiet and peaceful neighborhood, which makes it easy to get around.
There are many ways to spend your free time, you can take a relaxing walk, go shopping in the city, visit World Heritage sites, or, if you go a little farther, enjoy outdoor activities in the countryside.

You’ll also get to discover aspects of everyday life in a typical Japanese household, things you won’t find in any guidebook.

    -----About Helping
    - Taking care of our son and playing with him.
Our son is energetic, curious, and full of life. He never seems to run out of energy, even after a full day of play!
He absolutely loves cars and trucks from all over the world.
He especially enjoys pretend play with his vehicles, riding his bicycle at the park, and chatting about what’s on his mind.

He also enjoys running, playing tag, and active games — it would be wonderful if you could join in and have fun together!
His favorite characters are Yoshi from Nintendo, and Glaceon and Caterpie from Pokémon.
He really enjoys playing games on his Nintendo Switch.
If you're familiar with games like Minecraft, Mario Kart, or Pokémon, we'd love to hear from you!
It could be a fun way to engage with him during your stay.

He doesn’t tend to speak English to Japanese speakers, so it actually works well if you don’t speak Japanese or are still a beginner.
(If your Japanese is intermediate or higher, that’s completely fine too, of course!)
However, this may not be the best environment for intensive Japanese practice.
That said, if you’re ever curious or have questions about Japanese, I’ll be happy to help anytime!

    - Helping with light household tasks
    Tasks include things like:
・Kitchen reset (cleaning and tidying up the kitchen)
    ・Vacuuming
・Mop the floor twice a week using a disposable floor wiper
    ・Folding laundry
・Cleaning any other dirty or messy areas

These tasks usually take around 30 -60 minutes per day and help us maintain a clean and comfortable space together.
There may also be other minor tasks or things that come up from time to time. We’d appreciate your help with those as well.

    ----- About Daily Life
-Please kindly prepare your own meals.
You are welcome to use the food items available in the pantry, such as cereal, bread, tuna, eggs, and milk.

If you wish to eat items not listed above, or if you consume a large amount of these ingredients, we kindly ask that you purchase them yourself.

I (host mom) will cook dinner for you from Tuesday to Friday.

-For your personal care (washing your clothes, cleaning your room, etc.), we ask that you take care of your own space respectfully:
    ・Keep your room tidy
・Wash and put away your own dishes
・Clean the shower drain after use

You’re welcome to use the washing machine, vacuum cleaner, and other appliances freely.

-Please make sure you have valid medical insurance during your stay in Japan in case of illness or injury.

    ----- About Your Free Time
The rest of your time is yours to enjoy — feel free to explore Kyoto, relax at home, or read a book.
(There may be occasional schedule adjustments during long school holidays or if we have unusual work hours.)
Our general curfew is midnight (24:00).

    -----When Contacting Us
When you send your first message, it would be great if you could include the following:

    ・A short introduction about yourself
・What made you interested in Japan
・Your childcare experience (ages of children, gender, frequency and duration, etc.)

  • Alojamiento

    Alojamiento

You will have a private room to yourself.

    We provide:
・Everyday foods (like cereal, bread, tuna, eggs, and milk, etc)
・Basic daily necessities (excluding cosmetics, shampoo, etc.)
    ・Free Wi-Fi access

The bathroom and toilet are shared with our family members, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping them clean for everyone’s comfort.

When you're helping us with childcare (for example, going to the aquarium or museum together), we will cover all related transportation and entrance fees.

We’ve also uploaded a photo of your private room for reference.
Please note that some details may change — for example, there may be different curtains, sheets, or additional furniture and appliances by the time you arrive.

  • Algo más...

    Algo más...

Our home is conveniently located with easy access to transportation, making it a practical choice for exploring the area.
We live in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood, where you'll find many temples and shrines nearby. Several world and cultural heritage sites are also easily accessible by train or bus.

We can reach JR Kyoto Station or Keihan Gion-Shijo Station in about 20 minutes.
JR Kyoto Station is only 28 minutes by train from JR Osaka Station, making trips to Osaka easy and enjoyable.
Also, with the Shinkansen stopping at Kyoto Station, traveling to major cities like Tokyo, Nagoya, and Fukuoka is smooth and convenient.

Within a 10-minute walk, you can find the following:
    Train stations,Bus stops,Supermarkets,Post offices,Drugstores,100-yen shop

We don't own a car, so our main means of transportation is public transport such as trains.
You won't need to drive a car here. If you enjoy riding bikes, that’s wonderful!
Since we occasionally go out by bicycle, it’s important that the workawayer is comfortable and confident riding a bike.
