    Beschreibung

Our Community-supported agriculture farm is located in Bil’in 12 km away from Ramallah surrounded by the Israeli apartheid wall on what is called the liberated land. We believe in the importance of using our lands to be self-sufficient and provide our communities with healthy local products. We are focused on raising awareness of food sovereignty and self-sufficiency. We want to provide food that is local and organic because we believe in these dimensions and their moral, social, economic, and political underpinnings. We hope our fever infects everyone around us and wish to embark on a journey of learning from and teaching everyone around us.

    How it all began?
In 2016, Bubu met Mohammed, an American with Gazan origins, who came to visit his parents in Gaza. Mohammed suffered a lot during his visit due to the occupation. For more than two years, he was held in the West Bank, not allowed to visit his parents in Gaza, nor to go back to his wife and work in the US.

During these two years, Mohammed refused to surrender, refused to stay home waiting for the destiny of the occupation applying on him. He wanted to be productive, and he wanted to reveal his identity that the occupation took a long time from his farming background from which he only had stories from his grandmother about cultivating.

The day when Mohammed and Bubu met Abu Ala'a, the landowner, he allowed us to work in it for the coming years and wished us success to make something better for our community and to our food security and independence.

The very next day, Mohammad and I went to the liberated land of Bil'in and started the farm.

Two years later, Yara a young Palestinian woman joined us and became part of our core team. Despite the forced geographical separation between our team members as a result of the occupation, we still work together to this day.

The farm started as a community-supported agriculture farm producing organic vegetables for 8 families in Ramallah. Today, the farm is a big title for natural farming in Palestine. What started with almost bare and dead soil, is now flourishing with diversity and healthy soil producing for more than 30 families.

We also focus on education by offering workshops and courses on many different topics such as natural building, beekeeping, farming, soap making, and more.
