Caila and Esther were hilarious and hard working. What more could you want really? They cooked us some lovely meals always washed up, made a million cups of tea and were just lovely to have around.They are very mature for their ages, and we had some good chats, and they willingly helped in the garden and did cleaniing and other jobs for us.
We loved our stay with Donna, Cath, Pickle, and Berry! We were very comfortable in their lovely home, and they were very considerate about making sure we were taking breaks and not putting too much pressure on us. Our day picking olives was interesting and fun! We really appreciated the extra effort they went to to show us the beautiful area they

I wouldn't have thought it was possible to make a good friend in a week, but I think we did. Nadine fitted in here like she had always been here.She is hard working and just a lovely person really. We learnt more about Canada and hopefully will visit one day .She gave moral support and real physical work with weeding and cutting back flax. The

Donna and Cath are the best hosts ever! They are fun, kind, caring and amazing cooks. The work was very reasonable which included mostly weeding for the time of year and walking their sweet dog - Barry. Their home is very cozy and chique and beautifully decorated - like designer style. I loved their place and their company. We also had fun at the

My friend Lilly and I strayed with Donna and Cath from mid April to the begging of May and they were the best hosts we could have wished for.
We helped Donna in the garden, weeding, moving the compost and cutting some grass. In return for that we had amazing meals together, especially the mushroom burgers were our culinary highlight. They took us
… read more to a lot of local walks, we got to see beaches and the waterfall near their house and they made sure that we get to see the area.
We immediately felt welcomed at their beautiful home. Berry the dog and Pickel the cat always made us smile.
We will miss the evenings sitting in front of the fire, watching British TV shows with them and laughing together.
Altogether we had an amazing time and can only recommend joining them at their beautiful property!

We couldn't have asked for a better first workaway in New Zealand than with Donna and Cath. From the minute Cath appeared at the station to collect us it felt like we were staying with mates. In return for fitting a big window and making some dog gates for new puppy Berry, we were treated to delicious veggie/pescatarian meals, taken to different beaches for an afternoon swim and introduced to two different building warehouses (a real treat for us...trust me!)
Our double room was comfortable and Donna and Cath and Pickle the cat happily shared the rest of their lovely home with us. That they live only 5 minutes walk from the train station meant that we were able to visit Auckland during our time off and Donna even lent us her car to explore a stunning forestry park nearby for some beautiful walks.

Wonderful! Our stay with Donna was fantastic. We went to beaches and for walks to spots that we would not have found by ourselves. We ate together most evenings when Donna made delicious fish and vegetarian food.
