Welcome to the best place to meet Korean friends and experience Korean cultures :)
Hello :) I am Andy, a host of an English Cafe (Language and Culture Exchange) in Busan. Busan is the second biggest city in Korea with beatiful beaches and mountains. Busan also has full of fun activities to enjoy day and night. I majored in English language and English education, and I used to be an English teacher at public school. I started this project for foreign travellers to meet Korean friends and experience Korean language and cultures, and for Korean students to meet foreign friends, share experiences and cultures, and practice their English in more authentic environment.
Our community provides warm and lively place to Korean students and foreigne travellerss in order for them to interat and communicate in English. Volunteers can make Korean friends, learn Korean language and ciluture, and experience Korean traditions. They can also share different ideas, and informations with other volunteers from all of the world.
We usually have around 20 volunteers at the same time.
We offer regular Korean classes and occasional indoor/outdoor activities for volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers with following characteristics and skills:
@ Comfortable speaking English and willing to help Korean students improve their English
@ Interested in learning Korean language and experiencing Korean culture
@ Love meeting new friends and interacting with them.
@ Enjoy learning new cultures and sharing their own culture and experiences
We aim to provide a warm and friendly environment in which volunteers from all of the world can meet Korean friends and share different cultures, experiences, ideas and languages. The cafe atmosphere is very laid-back and informal as volunteers are NOT expected to provide any teaching materials or formal lessons but rather moderate conversation and create a good experience for the students. While you are talking with Korean friends, you can do anything you can do in order to help them improve their English like asking questions and listening to their answers, correcting their errors or pronunciation, suggesting good expressions, teaching vocabulary or grammar and so on.
We provide volunteers with regular Korean class and occasional indoor/outdoor activities.
Volunteers can meet many Korean friends at our community and learn Korean cultures from them.
Volunteers can share travel information with others and can travel Busan and other cities in Korea during their stay.
We also have a tradition of going out in the PNU area after class so that volunteers and students can enjoy more interaction over a meal and drinks.
A bed is provided for each volunteers at our dormitory-style guest house.
Free wifi, purified drinking water, laundry machines, cooking utensils, bowls and dishes, refrigerator, and hair dryer
