Being surrounded by goodhearted people in nature, sharing life and work together on a project to give something back to our mother earth is this year's main focus for me. I would love to work with animals and learn everything about agroforestry/ permaculture and sustainable living.
I am an occupational therapist and worked with people with neurological and psychological issues all through my 20s, which I enjoyed doing, even though I feel that it is not everything I want to do in my life. I’m generally enthusiastic about everything , but my heart always beat for animals, and I always wanted to work with them and work outside.
So, I am starting following this path now. 🌳 🐑
Next to my studies I also worked in a restaurant before, been a cleaner and took care of my little toddler neighbour.
I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you, learning new skills and gain experiences !

Other than that I am a somatic coach, yoga teacher, love working time in my little garden and cooking for friends, playing handpan and walking around with my camera. And I like to observe and give people and nature a space to be themselves.

My time at Zendara was a beautiful experience and I feel grateful for everything. I could contribute with the skills I have by taking care of the animals and various little jobs around the land was fulfilling :) We were a lovely group of workawayers too and also spend our free time together :)

Suzie was an absolute pleasure to have stay with us, she was always supportive and wanting to get onto tasks, cared so deeply for the animals and just brought such a positive energy to the farm, we’re so grateful to host her and hope that she returns after her travels. We miss her ❤️❤️❤️

Oh.. where do i start… it is now four weeks since i left but one part of my heart somehow seems to have stayed there.
Being at Nina’s Ark was certainly one of the most memorable times of my life with Nina being one of the best people i have ever met.
My days consisted of feeding the little Joeys, (😍) some of whom where only a few months old,… read more cleaning their houses, preparing food for the possums, gliders and birds, raking leaves, preparing the guest rooms and facilities…

There were four primary school groups coming for tours while I was there, so I could assist Nina in that. It was amazing to see so many little interested minds leaving, filled with knowledge and care about Wildlife.
There were a couple of guests staying in the glamping tents and after their night tour we sat by the fire together.
It’s a very secluded place, huge areas of thousands and thousands of hectares around , where the animals are being released on. So be prepared to see nothing but nature in your time being there, and you’ll see some pretty unique things going on like Tawny Frogmouths pretending to be trees, a Bowerbirds nest and Kangaroos fighting (or looking for a little love), green tree frogs in the shower, one of the other spider, . :) i loved just sitting there observing everything.

Sometimes we took a walk down by the river looking for animals and one night we saw the most amazing shooting star all across the sky standing on the floodplain.
Mal calling the Roos in the morning and hearing them come hopping from all directions as the sun was peaking through the bush was a homecoming feeling.
A place is always about the people who created it and Nina is probably one of the most extraordinary and inspiring people I’ve ever met.
She has hundreds of stories to tell of a life lived from the heart. She is so connected to this earth. So beautiful.
I loved being there. and I left with just so much gratefulness in my heart and my senses more open, feeling grounded to this earth and it’s nature feeling home , so different from what I know. I see animals everywhere I go, observing eyes and truly in awe for this country. I miss all the animals i met and their unique ways. What a truely special time.

Just overall a beautiful experience. The family of Kobus, Gerda and Gideon greeted me so warmly in their home that I immediately felt part and welcome. It can be really straining to work in the heat (dry season) and they always made sure we volunteers were feeling well, staying hydrated and planned the tasks acoordingly.
