Rotorua is a world-renowned tourist mecca famous for Maori cultural experiences, geothermal attractions, spas, hot pools, nature & wildlife parks, biking, marathons & outdoor adventures. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and providing guests with an opportunity to recharge and relax, or get out and about enjoying Rotorua in exchange for low-stress, easy tasks.

**CURRENT PRIORITIES: painting, basic carpentry, drywall replacements, lawn pimping **
This very modest accommodation is available in exchange for an equally modest amount of time. Two options: 2 hours per person per night buy & prepare your own food. (Sorry currently not available: 5 hours work per person per night or 25 hrs per 7 night stay, includes all meals at the moment. If choosing the meals included option, your work time includes shopping, meal prep and tidy up. )
Flexible start/finish times to have full days free to enjoy being a tourist. There is a long to-do list to restore the property to a pristine state to prepare for sale - housekeeping, lawn mowing, weeding, cleaning, repairs and maintenance. Select tasks that suit the weather and your interests and - the important part! - your abilities :) Creative healthy food preppers are particularly welcome. Suggestions welcomed also to make use of any specific skills or experience you have if you spot something that needs doing not already on the to-do list.

Large well-stocked supermarket just a few minutes' walk away. As per photo, bedroom is tiny with just enough room for a double bottom bunk and single top bunk. Plenty of space in the adjacent garage storage area for backpacks or suitcases etc.

Please note your host is quite introverted plus very busy with work commitments. If it is essential for you to spend lots of time being entertained by a chatty host family in an upmarket situation, this is definitely NOT the place for you. This homestay is ideal however for self-reliant, independent travellers who value privacy and a good night's sleep.
In addition to the nearby Countdown supermarket, there are several takeaway food outlets plus a bus stop on Fairy Springs Road (SH5) a few minutes' walk away. Skyline Luge Gondola is visible from the driveway. We're on the north side of town, 3.5 kms from the Rotorua iSite bus depot.

Caros profile was very honest. She works very hard and left us too our own devices. We got left a list of jobs to pick and choose what we can do and want to do. The house was clean, tidy and we were able to help ourselves to any food. Recommend to anyone that wants to live independently
