We are retired teachers. Nick has taught maths, science and English, is a good cook, enthusiastic gardener and will turn his hand to anything. We are interested in art, music of all kinds, play chess badly and climb and cave in our spare time.
Julie was a primary teacher, and an experienced gardener who speaks intermediate Spanish, basic Italian, French and German.

We are qualified teachers with many years experience. We have two allotments which feed us fruit and vegetables so are skilled gardeners. Nick loves to cook !
Nick has had writing and reviews published so is able to offer English language help to a good standard, as well as tuition in maths and science.He grew up on a farm so can do a lot of basic manual tasks and is a hard worker !
Julie taught primary children, and speaks intermediate Spanish and is a knowledgeable gardener.
We have built a pizza oven, repaired bamboo buildings, dry stone walled around olive trees, cleared brush, walked dogs, built a vegetable garden and a stone walled vegetable bed, cleared weeds by the thousand, house and dog sat, rescued an overgrown ruin of a garden, laid gravel terracing, pruned fruit trees, tiled a terrace and built irrigation systems on our workaway stays.
Nick is an experienced chainsaw user as we process our own firewood, and repairs old tools for a hobby.
We are also used to cleaning out and grooming horses, ponies etc and have worked with Llamas and even Camels !
Julie has looked after primary aged children in Spain and Germany whilst their parents were working and is good at children’s arts and crafts.

We had a pleasant three weeks here and learned a great deal from Erros who is very knowledgable about plants and nature as well as being a wonderful cook. Despite a series of minor catastrophes

Nick is a hard and efficient worker. He kept finishing the tasks given at such a fast rate, I had to continue adjusting the schedule to keep up. As Nick is very knowledgeable in agriculture, I was able to learn many things about propagating and gardening. We also enjoyed the evening chats over dinner with him.
