It was a pleasure to host Ghil, he works hard and is great company. He was very enthusiastic to learn about the work and showed good initiative when doing it, and I was happy with the amount he got done even though the weather wasn't great. He's a talented musician too! Welcome back any time :)

I spent a small week in James' rural rustic house, and had an absolutely amazing time. We went for walks and runs in the beautiful scenery as well as a bike ride, reaching as far as the stunning city of Chulilla. Regarding the work, I spent a couple of hours a day scraping off old paint and plaster. A process I quite enjoyed. James is a pleasure

Food wise, I could not complain as James is an excellent cook and he provided nutritious meals throughout my stay. I can also say I have a new fondness for Scottish play off games, drain unclogging videos and hikes that turn into late evening swims! Overall, I would highly recommend James as a host and his property should you need some time away from everything!

I've liked that even before I've arrived James called, so we had the chance to get to know each other a little bit. He also introduced me to the work I'll be doing at his place via call.

James is a great cook. I loved all the food he was making. He served big portions, so I was never hungry. 😊
Since I've arrived to his place on Friday, we could spend the weekend hanging out. On Saturday we went for a hike in the mountains. I enjoyed the views and the nature.
James was kind enough to introduce me to the Fallas festival in Valencia. We went to a big fireworks ceremony called Mascleta on Sunday. I've never experienced anything like it.
Generally, it was quite easy to get along with James. He is very interesting, we always had something to talk about and the conversations weren't forced. I've learned a lot about Spain from him. It was great to hear about how he bought the house and how much work he's already done with a place.
I would recommend this Workaway experience to anybody looking to enjoy beautiful nature, tasty food and good company while doing something fun, different and useful.

One last minute week quickly turned into 2 lovely weeks in the beauiful countryside of Valencia with James. Aside from a little wind the weather was gorgeous and the work was enjoyable. James' was kind enough to invite me to a wee party his friends put on in the city which turned into an unforgettable night of great food and even better conversation with people from all over (also perfect opportunity to practice my spanish) and of course the lighting of a few cheeky fireworks as it was Fallas. Overall great chats, stunning scenery, and some proper good work to even things out. I look forward to coming back with a case of Irn Bru in hand and a hefty supply of Yorkshire tea. Oh and last but not least, there is a cute little cat that loves attention !

Salome was also great company. We watched films and the World Cup together, and she introduced me to some great salsa music. I felt really comfortable with her here and she was also happy to work and relax on her own when I was busy. We went on some nice walks together and generally had a great laugh!
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Salome as a guest and workawayer. She's a friendly, capable and confident person who could play a valuable part in any workaway project.

ENGLISH
I stayed with James for about 3 weeks in his wonderful house. It was my first workaway experience.
I sent a request with very little advance and luckily was it possible for me to come .
From the first contact he was very nice, kind and help me to find the way and the bus to get to the closest town to his place.
The house is
… read more beautiful!!even though slowly is getting better with some repairments. It is located in the middle of the countryside surrounded by mountains and orange trees.
The landscapes are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!It's the perfect place to disconnect from the world and connect with yourself, meditate and find loads of peace and silence.
I did many different kind of jobs, like:
-plaster wall
-move away ruble
- painting the roof
- cleaning and tidying inside and outside.
- cut wood for the fire.
-gardering.
And some others..
James usually tells you what is a priority for him and that needs to be done , but is always open to listen to opinions and take them, being flexible about the tasks .
The house and the room were quite comfortable, it might get a little cold but if you wear cosy clothes you will be ok, also when the fire is on, it's so nice inside.
I feel that we got along very well, shared some outings, doing trekking in beautiful places, I really enjoyed that!
During these times, we got to talk about different topics and I learnt more about music and other stuff, he is a very interesting guy to talk to, also shared some silent moments which didn't be feel awkward at all. Was good to know we didn't have to socialize all the time, so I got enough time to do my own things having the right space for it .
We watched together some world cup matches( specially when Argentina played) , some really cool movies too and he made me part of a Sunday plan with his friends, Which was also very nice, we had an amazing day!
I had a great time with James, got to learn about many things and how to use tools I didn't know before I went there .
I'm deeply grateful for letting me be part of your home and your daily life duering those weeks, also thank you so much for the amazing dishes you made! In loved with your curry forever!
I hope we get meet up in the future and share more nice moments .
So in conclusion:I highly recommend James as a host. I Give him 10 stars hahaha.
- Limpiar y ordenar interior y exterior.

I accepted Yvana as a last-minute guest, and she started talking about leaving virtually the moment she arrived, and then cut short her stay a few days later. My experience with James had ups and downs. The first few days it was raining a lot so since all the jobs were outside jobs there was not much to do except cleaning inside the house. I don't really know what happened there, my guess is that James and I just didn't vibe so well, which is perfectly fine, but seeing as it's just the two of you, it took up a lot of space and I found it hard to relax.
I think I would recommend volunteering here more in the warmer months :)
I must say though that James always let me work pretty autonomously, which I enjoyed.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
