Hello, my name is Aisling, I am a 24 year old female from Ireland. I am travelling with my partner Seán since July 2024. We want to meet as many people and experience many different cultures. This is the first time for long-term travel and we are eager to explore.
I am an artist at heart, I attended art college back home in Ireland with a special focus in painting. I love to try new mediums and follow where creativity calls to me. I also have a huge passion for animals they bring me great joy and peace. My other hobbies include reading and being out in nature whether that be hiking, swimming, or being brought in a canoe by my boyfriend. I love to cook but more than that, I love to eat!

I'm Seán! I'm a 28 year-old from Ireland too. I've a huge passion for the outdoors and have spent the majority of the last 10 years learning and sharing this passion through adventure sports such as canoeing and rock-climbing. Canoeing is my passion but Aisling loves it when I paddle her around like a gondola-driver. I'm so happy to finally by exploring the world. I am fit and capable, and don't mind any work that will facilitate our exploration!

-- Customer Service & IT Skills
For the past 3 years I have been working with the HSE in Ireland, our national healthcare system. I worked in administration. The role changed over the years from high-traffic customer-facing clinics, to office based data analytics. We used many different programmes including salesforce, sharepoint and utilising microsoft office. I met many different kinds of people through this role. People from every country, of every ability and every age. I enjoyed meeting everyone and the busy environment.

-- Art
I am very passionate about art. My specialty is realism pencil portraits. However, I love to be creative in many different mediums and trying new things. I attended art college at home in Ireland specializing in painting. I love getting the chance to create for the people I care about. I completed some murals for a children's clinic for the HSE in Ireland and another small mural for the dog daycare service I worked for.

-- Dog Minding
I loved dogs my whole life and grown up with them. I completed my school work experience in a dog daycare service. I helped play with the dogs that were boarded for the day, and kept their areas tidy, as well as assisted walking the dogs who opted for the mobile walking service. As well as volunteering with my local Animal Welfare Centre at home in Ireland. During my time in North Finland I assisted a husky kennel with walking the sled dogs.

I have completed 2 years with the ITEC Training Body in Sports Massage Therapy. Through my college I helped with community clinics. I have also worked privately with clients in Ireland. I achieved a distinction in this course.

-- Nature Guide, Outdoor Sports & Group Activities:
I'm a qualified adventure sports guide, with qualifications in Canoeing, Stand-up Paddleboarding, Rock-Climbing, Hiking and Team Games. I am also very proficient in Archery, Surfing and Zip-line type activities.
I have worked in several adventure centres across Ireland for the last 6-7 years, where I would typically work with families, schools and corporate groups. I also have a Level 8 degree in Outdoor Education, where I studied Ecology, Childhood education, Psychology, Sports and other topics. I have also recently completed a Diploma in Environmental Science, where I achieved Student of The Year.

-- Childcare and Teaching:
I am the oldest of 5 children in my family. Through my college course and years of working in adventure sports, I have gained much experience working with children. I'm often called "The best Instructor" because of my kind and accomodating nature. I believe that, when working with kids, shouting and punishment will make problems worse. It's always better to talk and find a solution, rather than forcing the child to conform. I also love encouraging the child's natural sense of curiousity, especially when it comes to science and nature.

-- Advertising & IT Skills:
Through college and personal pursuits, I have gained good proficiency in Microsoft Office, Geographical Information Systems and other computer software programmes. I also worked for 9 months in Pricing & Advertising for a supermarket where I was tasked with producing posters to advertise various offers. They were so happy with my work that they kept all my poster templates for future use.

-- Construction/Carpentry:
I have some experience working construction through my father, who is a highly experienced site-manager in Ireland. I have done some roofing, flooring, painting, and various other constructions (mainly with wood). While in North Finland, I assisted in constructing some remote cabins from wood.

-- Animal Care:
I have spent my whole life with all kinds of animals. Mainly cats and dogs, but also goats, chickens, geese, sheep, cows and an Iguana. For dogs, we have owned many different breeds, and I am often the cats' favorite. I have been looking after other peoples pets many times.

We both enjoy playing chess, card games and other similar games. Seán enjoys video games, martial arts, walking/hiking, surfing and other outdoor pursuits. Seán also has been teaching himself guitar for the last 2 years.
