I spent a wonderful 14 days with Pastor Isaac and his family. We did everything together, and I was treated like a member of the family. The women prepared delicious traditional Ghanaian food for me every day – I especially loved the fufu. Keziah's breakfasts were also very good - I miss them. The pastor gave me a real insight into daily life in Ghana, allowing me to get to know the culture very well. We attended weddings, church services, and funerals. I had a lot of contact with the extremely friendly villagers and the parents of the students. The school project, which the pastor started, is truly wonderful. It gives students who cannot afford to attend a fee-paying school the opportunity and the right to an education. The students are very grateful and participate in lessons with great interest and attention which makes teaching a lot of fun. They were delighted with the school supplies I brought as gifts. I had the opportunity to teach the 6th grade, which consists of just 7 students. I would like to thank everyone again from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful unforgettable experiences, the excellent accommodation, and the family's hospitality. Saying goodbye to these wonderful people was really hard. Best wishes from Austria – I hope we'll see each other again!

Además de cocinar, ordenar, pintar se adaptaba a todo lo que surgía en el día a día. Es muy independiente y tiene iniciativas e ideas geniales. Más allá de ayuda, para nosotros fue un regalo conocerla, porque acabamos haciéndonos amigas y seguimos en contacto. ¡Una voluntaria 100% recomendable y una persona preciosa! 🌿✨

I spent one month at the hostel with Zuhe and three other workawayers. The stay was pleasant, the location was nice and quaint, however I would recommend bringing a car to have more flexibility to explore. The work varies on day to day basis, one day you could be on the breakfast shift and the next at the reception or housekeeping. Zuhe is pretty flexible with the schedule so just talk to him when you want something changed. UominiIt's a great place to slow down and catch some waves if you're into that, and you'll also get three surfing lessons for free. If you're expecting to earn some decent money I'd recommend you keep looking. As mentioned here previously you either get your own room or live in a caravan next to the parking lot. There is no wifi in either of those. Overall the living conditions were good except the food storage situation (with which we had our share of issues). Great as your first experience in hospitality but in relation to my other workaway experiences there is room to improve.

I had the great pleasure of hosting Catalina and Thor for two weeks, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning they were kind, respectful, and easy to get along with, it truly felt like welcoming friends into our home. During their stay, they helped me write content for my blog and create a post for my Instagram, which I really appreciated. They brought fresh ideas, creativity, and professionalism to the work, and the results were excellent. Beyond the work, we also shared wonderful experiences together. They even booked a day trip with me to the Ngorongoro Crater, it was such a memorable adventure. Catalina and Thor are not only reliable and easygoing, but also warm hearted, adventurous, and fun to be around. I am grateful for their help and their company, and I would highly recommend them to any future host.

Lucia stayed with us for four months, and it was truly a wonderful experience. She is very kind, polite, and communicates openly and clearly. Extremely versatile, she supported us in many areas: from working in the vegetable garden, helping in the restaurant, preparing rooms, arranging meals, to many other daily tasks. She adapts easily to new environments and brings a positive, professional energy everywhere she goes. Lucia is a hard worker with many skills, and beyond that, simply a great person to have around. She has a natural sense for business, a creative spirit, and even impressed us with her amazing knitting skills. We can wholeheartedly recommend her to any host – she will be a real asset both for work and community life.

My experience here was warm, welcoming and humble all thanks to Fleur. She kept me busy but ensured I was happy with whatever task I was offered. I never went hungry and seriously enjoyed her home-cooked meals and conversations shared over the dinner table. The bed offered to me was comfy and I always got a nice long sleep. Thoroughly enjoyed working with other workawayers as the space Fleur created was one of open-mindedness and acceptance. Also enjoyed my first ever yoga experience in Fleurs studio which was great. As a fresh ex-pat from New Zealand this was a great first workaway experience and I can highly recommend this to other workawayers! I can definitely see myself returning at somepoint in the future.

Jacklyn est une personne calme et travaillante. Elle intègre vite les consignes et travaille facilement de manière autonome. Hyper respectueuse de l'environement, nous la recommandons sans hésiter. La communication est simple, son français s'améliore de jour en jour et notre mini l'a tout de suite adoptée!! Sinon anglais et espagnol fluent, alors on trouve toujours une manière de se comprendre =) Quoique le séjour fut bref (un peu moins de deux semaines) Jacklyn aura ensoleillé la maison durant son passage !

This was our first workaway experience with gati and her family. It was absolutely amazing. We taught english in her house and also with other teachers in private lessons mostly at the students house. Gati took really care of us and it felt like a family. She took us to a wedding, public pool, sunrise hill, tempe factory and even to "tinkerbell garden" which was all just brilliant. Furthermore she showed us food (e.g. martabak - very tasty and dawet ireng) What we also really enjoyed was to play with her sun Kenan 😊 We were really sad to leave and hopefully we see each other again one day. She also helped us to get to know bahasa/javanese. What can i say...just perfect 🤩 Terimakasih banja Gati

Annika was amazing! She pitched in with whatever was asked of her. Keith especially enjoyed teaching her many outdoot tasks - how to drive the ATV, change oil on the truck, use the bushwacker, etc. Indoors, Annika helped Salome and I with lots of canning and food prep. We all had so much fun. Annika is excellent with animals. She even taught Nala to calm down before being petted. That is no small accomplishment since Nala is over the top exuberant. Although Annika is a quiet person, she has a big personality. Her smile lights up a room. Her time with us went by too quickly and she is missed by everyone. We hope that she will be able to come back soon to visit her Canadian family.

Excellent experience with Guadalupe and her family ! The children are very friendly and mature, the parents very nice and I had really great time with the 4 of them. I really enjoyed helping them with little daily tasks in the house (cooking, picking the clothes, playing with the children) but I also had plenty of time to enjoy Granada and Andalucia !

First of all, sorry Irina, it toke me so long to leave a feedback! But I wanted to leave one, because Irina is a great workaway! We had a wonderful time together, Irina helped me for a lot of things: sort and store clothes or things of the kitchen (Irina has a special talent for helping to get rid of things, for folding and cleaning nicely), cooking (mmm! ) and yes, gardening! That wasn't her special skills, but just like all the "work" she does, she toke it with her smile and her good vibe, and it came out great! And most important, we shared all those good moments together and enjoyed our time at this period of beginning of summer ! I had an unforgettable time at the farm with Süha and Millie. Every day we spent together was friendly and harmonious. Although it's the rainy season, Süha and Millie still tried their best to arrange activities, among which my favorite was rock climbing. Süha is a great coach who is willing to share. Thank you for giving me such a rich and varied experience:)

C'est drôle, en arrivant à Bruxelles, j’ai eu l’impression de prendre un peu l’accent belge de la Wallonie. J’écris ce commentaire en profitant d’un café en terrasse, avant de repartir ce soir. Bruxelles est belle, mais trop grande pour moi: la ville de Mons me manque déjà. Que suis-je en train de faire? Je devrais écrire un avis… et je parle encore de moi! Sylvie et Cédric ont été accueillants, patients, généreux, flexibles. Clara est charmante et pleine d’énergie. Quant à Belotte (le chat), elle est mignonne comme tout, même si je n’ai pas pu la caresser à cause de mon allergie. Les photos présentes sur leur page parlent d’elles-mêmes. Même si je ne suis pas resté longtemps, j’ai pris du plaisir à travailler et les aider à créer leur petit paradis.

It has been a great pleasure having Rikki at home. We would like to sincerely thank her for the wonderful month she spent with us. From the very first day, she adapted to our family and environment with incredible ease, always showing herself to be sociable, cheerful, and full of positive energy. With our 6-year-old son she was simply amazing: patient, caring, and always ready to play and understand him at every moment. Hugo truly enjoyed her company, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Life at home was perfect with her. She is responsible, attentive, and very polite, and she integrated seamlessly into our daily routine, always bringing joy and warmth to our household. Rebeca is a really pleasant person to be around! Responsible, clean, we had really good communication as we were not around much and she took great care of the fur family, the plants and the house! She has right that we didn't agree for Yiakoumis before hand but the vet change the appointment for him and i had my plane tickets to Thessaloniki already booked, so as she was ok with that we proceed to the dog sitting also! Was difficult for her with the hormone changed as she said and i really appreciate that she took over the responsibility! We are a bit "last minute" characters, sorry for that! Glad that you had a nice time in the apartment and in Athens! With you all the best! Ily

For my first workaway experience, i'm very happy this happen with Christian and Ama who are very kind person.Chris is a calm and wise who show me his very peaceful farm life. The task were always meaningfull and pleasant to do like chopping woods (if you get warm this winter, thanks Chris and me :D ) assemble shelves, gathering fruits, preparing the garden, etc I had interesting conversations and get a lot help with Chris knowledge's which allowed me to know more about my future and my dreams It was truly an unforgettable experience and i recommend to anyone who could visit the neautiful Swiss nature It was an honor and a joy to have been able to help Chris fulfill his dream. Fist of all we want to thank Aíne for all of her help and time that she spent with us. As a first time experience doing workaway Aíne was great. We came with some expectations, and she exceeded. We stayed 3 weeks, did a lot of work, tried to help the most we could. She was lovely, drove us around, showed us some parts of the country, helped the most she could and always gave us good and tasty food. Her house, was cozy and warm, a lot of space, good light and the location was really good. And very important, her family was really lovely, always around helping and checking in, also bringing us some great food. We definitely recommend staying with Aíne. It will be a great workaway experience, and you will get to know the city a lot better. Thank you Aíne!

Dear Host, We appreciate the opportunity to stay with you through Workaway, but we have to disagree with the review that was left about our experience. We acknowledge that we didn't prepare ourselves for the level of cultural and religious subjectivity that we encountered during our stay. The immersion was more intense than we anticipated, and it was challenging for us to adapt. While we appreciated Yasoda's cooking, the cultural differences and community dynamics were difficult for us to navigate, especially with our young child. We did our best to be accommodating and enthusiastic, but ultimately, we felt that it was best for us to leave early. We had the absolute joy of hosting Margarethe and Hanno for a couple of weeks during their extended travels, and we just can't say enough about how much of a pleasure they were to host. This beautiful couple infused so much warmth and optimism into our home with their outgoing, social, and friendly dispositions. Since the moment they arrived, they slot seamlessly into our daily routine, always ready with a smile and a warm word. Margarethe and Hanno were extremely reliable and conscientious, taking on tasks of every description with ease and self-sufficiency. They approached everything with care and efficiency. Their support allowed us to focus on other pressing matters, which was a huge relief and made their stay with us tension-free.
