I had a great time staying with María. She is a very interesting person and we had conversations about broad range of topics, and also laughed a lot together. We spoke in Spanish so that was very helpful for improving my knowledge of the language. The jobs I undertook were in the garden and painting on the exterior and María had all the tools and equipment ready for me. I also enjoy this type of work. María has a very friendly cat, and the accommodation is very comfortable. I was made to feel at home and had a wonderful experience on my work away, so I can highly recommend contacting María to see if a work away opportunity awaits.

Kanon stayed with us for almost a week and it was a pleasure to have her! She helped us with household chores, gardening and helped renovating a floor. We'd be happy to welcome you again :)

It was an absolute pleasure to host this lovely family of 4! It was only a short stay (as planned) but they got so many necessary things done in my garden, fixed a fence to a pony paddock, the kids ( 9 and 12) played with my rescue and own dogs, groomed the ponies and took dogs and also ponies for walks (hand-led pony rides) together with the parents. Ben just saw what needed to be done and got going (after checking with me, of course :)) I love that kind of initiative! Again, lovely family, very tidy and just great to have here ! They are welcome to stop by again any time :)

We were so happy to have Pierre-Adrian here! Words to describe him: Interesting, hardworking, responsible, competent, independent, caring. P-A put in MANY hours of hard work helping us get the first edition of our local arts and music festival ready: he built stuff, did electrical stuff, transported drinks to the harbour, took I don't how many hours of bar shifts incl. creating special drinks of the day, after the festival he helped clear and clean and I don't know what else and he did it all smiling. He also tarred our tree house and inspired our son to start juggling. Thanks Pierre-Adrian. Hope to see you again!

Evelyn and Alex are wonderfull person. They so in love with childrens and i believe they will be a good parents to be. It was so wonderful spending the day with you both! Seeing you teach English to the kids was truly inspiring. You both have such a natural and friendly way of connecting with them, and it's clear you're fantastic teachers. The kids were so engaged and happy, and it was heartwarming to witness. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us. It was a day we'll always cherish.

We had a great pleasure to host Karola. She's a very friendly and easy going house guest. She works hard and is great at planning her own workin hours. In the meantime she still found time to go and see the island a little, which made us really happy. During her stay she helped us with cutting overgrown areas in our courtyard, as well as cooking some delicious dinners. Karola stayed with us only for a week and we right away knew it's not enough time to enjoy her company! We really wished she could stay longer and we are hoping that she will find some time for us again in the future :)

Ben and Abby stayed with us for about two weeks. You couldn't ask for better workawayers! They are very self sufficient and sociable at the same time, very interested and keen on learning. They are also very sturdy and strong, yet thoughtful workers. We moved loads of compost, burning wood, paving stones, apples and pumpkins, steel structures and so on, and even after the heaviest tasks they would be cheerfully be like "whats next?". They are very responsible as well as in communication as around the house, and with their good spirits in general a joy to have around! We highly recommend them. Cheers! The Schmölz family

We had a very good experience hosting Grzegorz. With the type of work we had for him (cutting down trees, garden work) he did not need any supervision and he could work independently. He planned his own work and executed it perfectly. He has a lot of experience with garden work and you can see it with the work he does.

It was an extremely fulfilling experience, the beginning was difficult but I grew to fall in love with the hard work and sweat because it was all for a beautiful community that I deeply cared about. I connected so deeply with everyone so quickly and that’s difficult to do in years let alone a single month because of the vulnerability and transparency of everyone. The regular spiritual practise was great and I’m still doing my meditations at sunrise and sunset, i’m glad i was able to learn so much about new cultures and religion. I came for the meditation initially and come out learning a lot more about ancient practises and how beautiful Bhajans can be. Fortunately I was curious enough to attend all the ceremonies, I can imagine some volunteers might feel the evening ceremonies may be too intense for them/not give them space to enjoy their free time so the transparency that Bruno and Ana give for the option to join or not is very welcoming. I received a lot of support from everyone I think the balance is perfect, Ana is great at looking after everyone and making sure we are looking after ourselves physically and emotionally especially since she is such a warm and kind soul. Bruno is great at showing his passion and love for ceremonies by leading everyone with his guitar and fun and electric personality. Fred is also important in teaching us about the land and tools, making sure no ones confused or lost and taught us a lot about permaculture so that we could support the community and do a good job whilst spending time and having fun with us. My personal insights were not grand or magnificent at all but quite simple. The silence in everyone’s words, the sound of the birds and crickets, the calming air in the temple that taught me more than any words could have. I’ve learnt to love meditation not to benefit from anything, I’ve learnt about gratitude and how the energy it generates is the greatest form of love, I’ve learnt about attending my meditation and keeping it as simple as that, no fire or fancy techniques just simply be empty. Awareness and gratitude in the finca has truly changed my way of living and I thank everyone at the finca for showing me and not telling me so that I could experience my own spiritual journey. The consistent hard work taught me the most, just so much gratitude in living slowly and intentionally. The hot shower after a day of work, food made me love and grace sung with community taught me this is what life is. I’m glad I was able to help and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The work experience was great, I think we came at a busy time yet it was still structured and supportive which Fred helped out with a lot when Ana and Bruno were busy. I don’t think its easy which makes it so great, the atmosphere of the community is filled with love, vulnerability and curiosity and I never not once felt judgement from anyone and that made me feel authentic as effortlessly as possible. I agree that friendships built on the basis of spiritual discovery will never end and I will always see the ribbon on my wrist and think about the people, the cats, the temple and emotions at the finca. I will leave it there haha but I could write forever since I’m truly grateful that they let me stay in their home and looked after me so well and I’m sure I will see them again soon :) Thank you so much.

Angelina stayed with us for about 10 days, it was a short stay but it felt longer :) She is a very positive and courageous person who is not afraid of taking challenges. We had great communication, it was easy to discuss the tasks and we had very nice conversations after working hours, sharing stories about her travels and the like. She is a very open person who shows interest in others. We were very comfortable having her at our place, she was always very sweet to our cat Coco, socialized with our guests and we meditated together in the evenings. She had different tasks outdoor and indoor, like painting and cleaning. She even helped us creating a video which was needed for personal reasons :) We appreciate her help and willingness to participate in our project! We recommend having her as a volunteer and we wish her all the best on her beautiful journey :)

This workaway in Tabernas was an unforgettable introduction to rural Andalucian life. From the very first day, Fernando’s hospitality stood out, open hearted, patient, and passionately committed to making this project a welcoming space for everyone. The work was varied but never overwhelming, with plenty of flexibility and a supportive, community-minded atmosphere. Living in the caravan near cool cave houses, enjoying nice warm sunny days, incredible food from the garden, and making meaningful connections with others created a perfect balance of work, learning, and relaxation. Surrounded by beautiful desert landscapes, with beaches and mountain hikes nearby, this unique project is ideal for anyone seeking nature, self-discovery, and friendship. I’m truly grateful for my time here and look forward to returning someday.

Nika is a lovely person…. When she arrived the weather here was horrible.. we had to find inside jobs for her to do, which included organising our disorganised sheds😅 She mucked in and did a great job. She gave a hand in my bakery, and did some weeding. Nika is great worker and I’d recommend her without hesitation…. Hint for her next host.. she loves Nutella ❤️😉

Mahmoud did an amazing work during his stay with us. He is truly one of the best Workawayers we have ever hosted, and there are so many reasons why: He showed an outstanding level of dedication and commitment, always approaching every task with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. The quality of your work was excellent: everything he did was well organized, and carefully done. He was also flexible and open to changes, always ready to adapt and help wherever needed. Beyond the practical help, his eagerness to learn new things and exchange culture values was very much sincere and appreciated. I strongly recommend him to any future host.

We welcomed Joanna into our home, and it was a wonderful experience. She's an expert in many fields, loved our animals, and performed every task like a pro. I feel like I've found a friend and hope to see her again soon. I highly recommend her for her kindness, discretion, and helpfulness. Our home will always have its doors open for you. Safe trip

Christina has been extremely helpful during her stay with us. She listens carefully, follows house rule, and is very considerate. She has ben willing to help out in anything and everything that comes up. Cheerful and kind with everybody, truly a joy to host! We recommend Christina 100%.

We had an absolutely amazing two weeks staying with Ruth and Tibor ! As our first experience like this, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. The island itself is beautiful, calm, and the perfect place to unwind, giving us plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy the surroundings at our own pace. Ruth and Tibor were fantastic hosts – friendly, approachable, and always willing to share local tips, advice, and their knowledge of the area. They made us feel completely at home from the very first day, and their hospitality really went above and beyond. We truly appreciated the balance of having freedom to do our own thing while still feeling supported whenever we needed anything. This experience has left us with wonderful memories, and we can’t thank them enough for their kindness and warmth. We 100% recommend staying with Ruth and Tibor to anyone looking for a relaxed, welcoming, and unforgettable stay. You’ll love it just as much as we did !

We were really happy to welcome Rachel! Since she first applied until she could come, and even after, we stayed in touch regularly and we were always connected. She was very patient with the students, using Japanese words for them to feel more comfortable and encouraging them to use English as well. Got along well with all the volunteers at the accommodation, and showed initiative to help with cleaning or other tasks even if we hadn't asked before. Thank you Rachel for all your help!
