Having Andreas with us was a truly special experience. From the very first day, he filled the house with joy, laughter, and positive energy. His authenticity, kindness, and enthusiasm made every moment with him unforgettable for everyone — the children, the volunteers, and the whole team. With the kids, he was absolutely wonderful — patient, fun, attentive, and creative. He connected with them in such a genuine and caring way that every class and activity became something magical. The children looked forward to seeing him every day, and his presence left a beautiful memory in each of them. He was also an amazing companion to the other volunteers, always ready to share, listen, and create joyful moments together. The house simply felt brighter and happier with him around. We are deeply grateful for everything Andreas shared during his time with us. If anyone has the chance to host him, don’t hesitate — he is an exceptional volunteer and a truly wonderful person. 💛 Thank you for everything,

Marten is a great guy to have around. He is calm, reliable, and fun to chat with. He is also the hardest worker we've had so far. Even on his day off, he tried to finish chopping the woodpile. We are very happy with all the wood that is now drying nicely for the winter. We wouldn't have had time to do that ourselves. So thank you very much, Marten!

I spent two weeks at the farm this September and it was the most wonderful first Workaway experience! I felt so welcomed and at home from the first second. Titouan and Jozefien are the kindest and funniest people, I had so much fun chatting with them, whether it was Titouan discussing philosophical thoughts or them practicing French with me. The farm is such a beautiful place (the photos are nothing in comparison) - especially with all the kitties and horses around. I really enjoyed the work - whether it was feeding the horses, lawnmowing or painting. I learned a lot and was very thankful that everything was always explained so well. The surroundings are incredible, especially the beaches and the WW2 cemeteries are so worth seeing. Titouan also took us to the local resto - it was so much fun, even though it obviously couldn`t compare to Jozefien`s cooking! I wish I could have stayed longer and I really hope I can return to this wonderful place! :))

The "Santuario 108" it's not like other places: been here for 5 weeks made me feel like part of the this community which is unique. Not only the landscape is so precious and beauty, but the people who created and live there make the difference. Each in a different way. I loved worked here: I miss the dogs, the chickens and the horses. But also loved the gardening and eating together. I recommend this place to people who love nature, animals and deep conversation. Thank you guys for everything

Always with a smile on her face, Polina started off by baking for her new volunteer friends. She took the task of baking our sour dough bread and kept on doing that for her full stay. She loves painting, so she got some tasks in that area from us, and the result is really good. She is thorough and wants to leave a good work behind. Always polite and respectful, not afraid to move around if needed. Easily adapted to new circumstances and seems to just take life as it comes. We can absolutely recommend to other host.

Catherine and Marc stayed with us for a month. They leave few hours ago and we are already missing them. The experience was excellent under many aspects, they were very helpful, Marc has a professional approach of DIY , Catherine is very good assisting Marc and very good in cooking. Both are reliable, respectful in sharing daily life and domestic space and they are a good company to have many interesting talk and some genuine laugh. We totally recommend them.

Kelsey joined us for nearly 3 weeks with her boyfriend Leandro and their joint expertise transformed our barren greenhouse and overgrown garden into a green and productive space as spring approaches. They were great company at mealtimes and we had a couple of evenings playing cards together. We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for volunteers who are able to work without constant instruction.

We stayed for about a month on the finca with Teresa and Jesús. From the very beginning, they were welcoming and accommodating, and throughout our stay anything we needed was never an issue. This was our first experience in Spain and they taught us a lot about Spanish customs and history (Jesús is very knowledgeable in Spanish history and Teresa’s English is very good!) The house we stayed in was private, set up on a hill a short hike from their home. It had everything we could ask for! It was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Once they got to know us, Pepe and Burrito-San became very friendly, and we shared many evenings enjoying their company. The dogs all stole our hearts and were constant companions while we worked. Django, Gus, and Rita being our favorites! We helped out in the vegetable garden and contributed to their inspiring goal of self-sufficiency. Towards the end of our stay, there was a fire in the prairie, and it was incredible to see the local community come together so quickly to put it out side by side. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and would recommend this experience to independent people who appreciate peace, privacy, and good company.

A late feedback, but really a good one! Late is on my shoulders: I was sure I already did it... Maybe I forgot to valid my words on this site? Miguel staid one month with me and, along with a few other achievements, made a tremendous work with something which was new to him: create a fence and two bamboo gates so that at the intrance of my place there is a sas for the cars to come in and out without my dogs having any way to go for an alone walk in the vicinity... It is lovely and functional! He too really has a nice way with animals and I am sure, if ever he was comming back, that my dogs... and cats will great him with joy. The communication with him was great too with a lot of curiosity for anything new, and want to learn langages. A great workawayer to have. Beatrice

We were volunteers with my partner helping at the Airbnb they have in Tirana. We initially planned to stay only two weeks, but we ended up staying for more than a month because we really liked the vibe of the place. Dani, the manager, was super nice to us. He explained everything very well and helped us whenever he could. And with Julian, the owner, we shared a bit less time, but those moments were really lovely — playing music and having nice conversations. The work is relaxed and the guests were always kind. It’s close to the city center and very near all kinds of shops. Food around is very affordable, and so is transportation. We hope to come back someday, even just to say hi and share more beautiful moments. Thank you for everything ♥️

Erica and Elisabeta: Two girls from Italy We were very happy to have help from two stewardesses who worked very efficiently and quickly. They were always interested in improving services with new good ideas. They were very communicative, always cheerful and everyone really liked their company. I hope they come back another time in the future 😊

This was my first work away and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The whole family is so welcoming and kind. On top of that I got to be there when 4 baby goats were born. It was amazing to watch them grow over the span of a couple weeks. I enjoyed the variety of tasks, from picking vegetables to canning them, snuggling the goats and dogs, extending the chicken enclosure, etc. The work schedule was flexible and I was able to choose my days off. I learned a lot during my stay because they all shared their knowledge with me. Keith was encouraging and kind when he taught me new skills. Irene showed me how canning works. She is wonderful and always ensured I felt good e.g. by making sure I took breaks throughout the workday. Ann is lovely with the goats and she helped me gain insight into what it is like to take care of them, e.g. by helping her cut the hooves and her explaining everything. I felt so comfortable living with Dani and her cats. She made many delicious meals for me and I’m excited to try some of her recipes myself. I’m very grateful she shared her home with me. Thank you so much!! These five weeks have been very special to me and I hope to be back one day.

_____________________ My 10-day stay here was simply magical. Élodie and Brice welcomed me with all the love and kindness that permeates their beings, in a setting as exceptional as they are. With Mount Canigou and Eus right next door, there's an incredible vibe. It's the perfect place to recharge your batteries and practice any form of yoga or meditation. There is even a dedicated room that I had access to most of the time. My room was located in the garden, offering all the peace and privacy I could have hoped for. The four hours of “work” per day consisted mainly of weeding and maintaining their beautiful grounds. Élodie cooked the best vegetarian meals I have ever tasted, and one of their dogs, Patchou, the cutest in the world, was often by my side while I worked. We shared most of our meals and discussed really interesting topics. Always radiating kindness, Brice helped me get around and gave me advice for the rest of my trip. They both made sure everything was perfect during my stay. I had the privilege of visiting Eus and accompanying them to Prades and Fuilla for a meal, as well as to Perpignan to attend a yoga class taught by Brice. I also got to meet their daughter, who is truly an angel, and listen to her tell me about their many trips around the world. There are also beautiful hikes in the surrounding area, with hidden treasures to discover. I will only have fond memories of my stay and your wonderful family. Thank you for your openness, advice, your listening ear, your light, and your dedication. This experience will forever remain an important milestone in my life and in my spiritual quest.

Ivan and his family are very nice people. I had a warm welcome, Ivan came to pick me up at the bus station in the evening and prepared some dinner for me :) Their land is beautiful and a peaceful place to spend some time, surrounded by mountains and woods. I was lucky to share my experience with another nice family of travellers, we shared food and cooked together, we spent time working together and enjoyed our free time too. Work is fine, not heavy tasks, and Ivan is very flexible and understanding; he will find something suitable for you to do. We also went all together for a boat trip on the lake with Ivan and his daughter, and it was a really nice day. Best of luck with your future projects, Ivan. Thanks for your hospitality!

Pris was so efficient in her duties. She is so proactive and always is trying to do more so we are so glad that she stepped by with all her energy, she is an amazing driver, she used the Wacker grass machine as a Pro that finished all the yards and before she left she cleaned her bedroom all bed sheets and even a recipe in our new traveler's recipe notebook. We hope that everything goes well in her trip She has an amazing heart. In the future if she wants to come back our house is her house. Let the light of the universe guide your way.

When you come to you become a part of the family immediately. For my three weeks there in August/September 2025 not only was I welcomed by the deep and gentle energy of Mols Bjerge National Park but also by warm hugs, a nourishing meal and very kind, loving people. I spent my working hours tending to the chickens, watering the plants, harvesting, weeding, cleaning and reorganizing, preparing for events and guests, cooking and making sure that the place stayed welcoming and nice. Usually Christine would give us some tasks to do that we could then fulfill in our own time. What I appreciated deeply was that my needs, thoughts and ideas were very welcomed by everyone and that I was considered in so many ways. Because I was there in late summer there was a lot going on socially: friends and other guests came to visit, a big symposium in another place was prepared for and held with former volunteers coming here beforehand, artists staying for a residency, a few events were held at the farm. Those meetings were deeply enriching and I anm so grateful that I met such inspiring and beautiful people through that! We usually ate dinner together that one or two of us prepared for everyone. We were lucky that we could eat all sorts of greens, vegetables, berries, fruits and herbs straight from the garden and mix them with high quality organic (often times regional) store-bought food. I enjoyed so many meals with really good conversations. Christine (head and owner of the place) sometimes offered us to take us with her to outside events to learn more about the artistic landscape in the region. Her and her husband also took us out for Pizza at a authentic Italian restaurant once which was such a nice gesture of them. Overall they were super generous and accommodating! If you want to experience a very international place where lots of different beautiful projects are realized, entrench yourself in beautiful nature (the walks you can take just from the volunteer house are breath-taking!), enjoy being part of a community that shares their lives and meals, like taking care of animals, plants and a home, spend your time in lovingly designed spaces, want to share love and depth and maybe even music, you are absolutely in the right place :)!
