Talab is so kind and the work is great and really chill. The hotel is easy to find and in the centre of jaisalmer. You’re able to do the camel safari for free which is amazing - really enjoyed our stay. Thanks

The work was amazing, and they made us feel so at home. Naufal and Tutka are absolutely lovely and incredibly supportive. It was such a wonderful experience – truly a pleasure to be part of it! The children are lovely at both the school and NT academy. You also have good free to time to explore Yala. Thanks for everything!

My 3 months on the farm were more than I expected. So much going on, so many inspirations and so many new people. The Granger family is above and beoynd amazing as well as everyone associated with the Farm. People make you feel like at home right away, I felt like we knew each other already. The work was intense due to the heat and humidity but I was getting through thanks to the great patience and kindness of Jashel and Giselle. I was removing weeds from tires and plant beds, planting different things: cucumbers, hot peppers, watermelons, decorative plants, sweet potatoes, bok choi, baygan and tomatoes. I painted walls, helped at school, made juice, learned to cook kuchila, deep cleaned Pap's kitchen and shop, picked green mangoes, cut some bush and helped selling Giselle's produce. Apart from working, we also had plenty of fun times. Giselle and the family organised trips to different beautiful beaches, took us to so many limes I cannot even count, showed us the culture of Trinidad and its people, especially the Moruga vibe. Giselle is one of the most amazing women I've ever met in my life and I'm beyond grateful for her help, open heart and beautiful mind. She is a strong and fierce woman with a sweet and giving heart, great sense of humour and an amazing multitasker. Having Giselle around will get you out of any depression you might think of ;))) The house by the farm is modest and has all the facilities you need - kitchen, washroom, bathroom (be prepared for cold bucket showers and carrying water bottles up the stairs) and living room. I recommend bringing citronella oil (for mosquitoes - they're everywhere) and peppermint oil (for ants when in the field). After those 3 months I'll be coming back for carnival and I hope to be coming back continuously to this amazing family and beautiful country.

What an incredible experience! This was such a unique opportunity to do something meaningful for the environment while learning how to live simply on a sailing boat, discovering the basics of sailing, and creating meaningful connections with the other crew members. The work can be physically demanding at times and requires flexibility (especially with the ever-changing weather!), but it’s all part of the adventure and makes the experience truly rewarding. If you love nature and spending time outdoors, enjoy teamwork and want to contribute to ocean protection, I can’t recommend this experience enough.

Else was not only an amazing house guest but an incredible worker! Super easy to get along with and brought a lovely and warm vibe. We voted her employee of the month 7 days in a row. Hope to see her again sometime. Would highly recommend getting yourself an Elze.

Soukmeephon and Phoxay are two very calm, quiet and friendly people. We admire their courage to do something completely different to their own every day lives and in a completely foreign culture and we enjoyed having them here with us. They were both open to new things, eager to learn and were able to put our instructions into practice very well. Despite their quiet and unassuming characters they worked very well and we are grateful for their help with many different tasks. They took pleasure in cooking for uns several times and we greatly enjoyed the wonderful food. We wish them all the best, where ever their path may lead them. Chris & Ama

What an amazing experience I had staying in Claire and Alexandros' beautiful piece of paradise. I had the pleasure of dogsitting for them for a week and ended up staying just over 2 weeks because it is SUCH a special place. Claire and Alexandros are just the best hosts and made sure I had everything I needed in the private studio I stayed in; we shared many lovely conversations and meals during the time we were all there together. The accommodation had everything I could possibly want and they made sure it was clean and tidy for my arrival. They were also generous enough to loan me a car for the duration of my stay which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. The place itself is so tranquil and rich in history and there are some gorgeous beaches and olive groves to wander in. We also discussed in detail their upcoming olive harvest- they are so passionate about what they do and really enjoy this time of the year. If I had more time I would have loved to have stayed on to help them with it as it sounded like such a fulfilling experience. I would recommend any work exchange offered by Claire and Alex as I am confident it will be a memorable and fun experience. I cannot wait for the day I get to return there! :)

Freddie is a very hardworking and precise worker and learns extremely quickly, already has a considerable amount of knowledge about many things, and so far is the most polite, kind, and respectful volunteer I have had the pleasure of hosting.

William has been one of the best volunteers we’ve ever hosted at the Hostel! We arranged his stay through Workaway and couldn’t be happier to have had him as part of our team. William is incredibly responsible, hardworking, and careful in everything he does. He keeps things clean and organized, always shows great respect for guests and staff, and has a very friendly, positive attitude that made everyone enjoy working with him. We truly appreciate his help and would welcome him back anytime — he’s an example of what a great volunteer should be!

Axel is a very calm, well grounded individual and he is very polite. He has a big heart and is friendly, thoughtful and cordial. He is open to new things, interested in other people's way of life and eager to learn. We appreciated his thorough help with many different tasks! I enjoyed our conversations about our respective dreams and what it takes to make them a reality. I hope I was able to help rekindle the fire that he has for his very own, personal dream. We also greatly enjoyed the meals Axel cooked for us: it was wonderful to see how much love he poured into it! We wish Axel all the best and look forward to those pictures from Japan! ;-)

We stayed at Lena's home for six days, caring for the animals. We had a wonderful time and thank you for your trust and hospitality! Her house is located in a small village and is simply beautiful. We felt at home. :)

Montaine est une grande artiste et a créé de magnifiques signalétiques peintes sur bois lors de son séjour, en plus des nombreux autres chantiers auxquels elle a participé et de son aide quotidienne dans les tâches de la maison. Ce fut un très grand plaisir d'accueillir Micah lors de son séjour en France. Son énergie, sa bonne humeur et ses compétences en bricolage ont été de très grands alliés lors de son passage chez nous. Nous avons apprécié sa compagnie et son sans du rangement. Il se débrouille très bien en Français ce qui a facilité la communication avec toute la famille. Bonne suite à toi Micah, au plaisir de te recevoir à nouveau chez nous, tu es toujours le bienvenue.

Martina stayed on board one of our sailboats for 2 months and it was a pleasure to have her! She was responsible and took initiative in doing the daily chores and working with her team. She was a dedicated beach cleaner and always brought a positive attitude to the crew. Martina is a lovely person and we would love to have her back :)

We had the pleasure of hosting Leonie for about two months. From the very start, she was bright, hardworking, and proactive in every task she took on. Her strong communication skills and positive attitude made her a joy to have both on-site and around base. She consistently showed initiative, adaptability, and genuine care for the team and the community we serve. We’re incredibly grateful for her contributions and the energy she brought to the program. Any future host or organization would be lucky to have her!
