Descrição

We are a young couple from California who get a great deal of joy and enthusiasm from being outdoors together! We're not a sit-at-home or stay-still duo, in our day-to-day life we're always moving or working on projects, and we're looking for new projects in new places to apply ourselves to. Emily (24) is an aspiring therapist and in her free time loves going on runs, hikes and especially baking and cooking. Hadley (24) is a recent Environmental Studies graduate and cares about all things natural, especially farm systems, food justice, biodiversity, and all animals and bugs. In their free time Hadley goes rock climbing, works on ecodocumentary and photography projects, and enjoys amateur herb gardening in their backyard. We love meeting new peoples and forging new connections, and would love to learn any new skills hosts have to offer!

Quais são suas habilidades?

We both individually have 4 years of experience in childcare in outdoor settings, leading hiking trips, coaching rock climbing, coaching swimming and working as a camp counselor.
Hadley is wilderness first aid certified and both of us have experience working in farm settings in foreign countries, with manual labor, and with animals, and both of us are active and would be happy working with our hands for long hours.
Emily is skilled with an embroidery needle, is a lifelong baker and cook, and enjoys helping in the kitchen and cooking for others, or helping source ingredients and learning new cooking skills!
Hadley has an eye for interior design and Emily has experience with amateur carpentery and we have completed many low-level home projects ourselves.
We both have experience in photography and filmmaking and would love to help our hosts by taking high-quality photos of their work and residence, and have experience with video editing and website editing to update their profile and manage social media if they like.
We both speak near-fluent Spanish and would be excited to learn other romance languages like Italian, or help teach English.

We both love puzzles, playing sudoku, and any type of card or board game. We love reading and sharing books, and Hadley enjoys writing short stories and poetry inspired by their surroundings. Hadley is a performer and loves live music and singing in a group, or playing act-out games like charades and improv, and would be happy to teach group games of the sort!
