My very first Workaway experience, at Lisa and Jeff’s place, was just perfect. When I read their profile, I felt, “This is the place!” — and I was right. I stayed for two weeks, and every day was full of fun and new experiences — gardening, a basket weaving class, collecting fresh eggs, and spending time with their lovely cats, Jinx and Dot. The two weeks felt much longer because the days were so full and meaningful. The area where they live is great for walks, with beautiful trails and a lovely beach nearby. And if you go a little further, there are some wonderful mountains to explore. Lisa introduced me to many kind local people, and I’m sure every workawayer who visits will fall in love with this warm community. Lisa and Jeff were so kind and patient, always speaking clearly so I could understand. Through my time with them, I learned a lot about their lifestyle, their community, and the simple, joyful rhythm of their days. I also loved spending cozy evenings with them by the wood stove after dinner. They made me feel comfortable and truly part of their life. Thank you so much, Lisa and Jeff. These two weeks will always stay in my heart.

I couldn't have asked for a better first workaway in Canada! My two weeks here with Karla and Olivier and their family were great. I learned a lot about life on a farm and mainly helped with taking care of the animals and buliding fences and several other tasks. I also drove tractors and a bobcat which was a lot of fun. The accommodation is very modern, spacious and clean and the food they provided was always delicious. I would come again any time!

Alex, Kate, and their wonderful family gave us the most amazing first Workaway experience! From the very first day, they made us feel like part of the family-so welcoming, kind, and full of warmth. We instantly felt at home in their lovely house. We loved sharing meals together (Alex and Kate are fantastic cooks!), cooking with them, and enjoying all the great conversations around the dinner table. Every moment was filled with laughter and connection. They created a perfect balance between work and fun, and we're so grateful for the trust and kindness they showed us. We can't recommend them enough as hosts, anyone would be lucky to stay with such a loving and generous family!

Turo was super nice and homecoming the place have all the facilities you need. we had culture exchange, making meals and eating together. and there were another workaway so we shared some space and I enjoyed it very much. the work was not hard, you communicated about the hours and it pretty chill. thank you for the hospitality it was amazing!

Alex is a wonderful Workawayer and also a truly kind-hearted person. Regarding work, he did everything — daily tasks like cooking (his browny was amaizing! We asked him to make that every week.), shopping, and cleaning, as well as teaching English and creating videos using his editing skills. While he was here, he was like a reliable leader, always helping the staff proactively. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and support! He was always kind to everyone and so good at creating a positive atmosphere. At lunchtime, we always played card games (Solitaire) together, laughed a lot, and had wonderful conversations. Thanks to him, playing Solitaire together became a lunchtime trend. Thank you for all the fun times, Alex! We hope you’ll come back to Sanuki anytime!

He was a very gentle person who helped with woodworking, small crafts, and carrying luggage. The meals he prepared were also delicious. Though I wasn't home during the latter part, he help the house keeper and explained and show around the house for new guests . He also participated in my interview project. We shared a wonderful experience!

Kylian helped me with yard work, helped sweep up the floors, clean the kitchen, and even helped with my car. He's soft spoken, but very kind and easy going. He's independent and able to take care of himself, and has good taste in music. I was working for a lot of the time that he visited, but he always found things to keep him busy while I was away. He's a nice guy!

Je suis rester un mois à Finca et j'ai passé des super moments avec toutes la communauté, les travailleurs, les autres volontaires et les voisins, j'ai rencontré des gens super convivial avec une bonne énergie, on a eu des bonnes discussions, on a bien rigolé. La nourriture vegan était super bonne, j'me suis régalé. J'ai adoré le paysage et la tranquillité à la Flor. J'ai adoré aussi les moments bien être. Le travail était varié et intéressant. Le logement était top. Bref, j'ai vécu une superbe expérience, merci à tout le monde. Pura vida

after 2 weeks here i can say this place is magic! high standard rooms, amazing stuff, great views, excellent local nepali food. we didn't work hard, just general help in farming & gardening, but the local stuff did the hard jobs and gave us the easy ones. best experience. i highly recommend.

Excelente experiencia, la verdad que me sentí como en mí casa. Bruno es una gran persona, muy sociable y comprensiva, me llevó a conocer lugares de Catamarca, me incluyó con sus amigos y me recomendó muchos lugares para visitar. los trabajos para realizar son flexibles y el lugar es muy lindo y natural. en algún momento volveré!

My experience teaching English in Nias Island at Aprianto’s home was one of the most enriching and eye-opening moments of my life. Even now, long after my stay, I still think about it often. From the moment I arrived, every member of Aprianto’s family welcomed me with kindness, warmth, and humor. By the time I left, I truly felt like part of their family. The children I taught were absolute sweethearts, full of love, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn English that made every day meaningful. Nias itself is a treasure. The village is traditional and largely untouched, which made living there feel like such a privilege. The community is incredibly genuine, open-hearted, and unlike anywhere else I’ve been. I will never forget how welcomed and embraced I felt! This experience changed me in the best ways, and I couldn’t recommend it more

Pauline came to stay for 2 weeks with her friend Mary and although there were the occasional language barriers, Pauline did all she could to understand what was required and was a participated well. Pauline’s a hard worker, great at cleaning and very loving and compassionate to our dogs. She has a wonderful personality and is very friendly and supportive to the team. We recommend Pauline for future experiences and welcome her back anytime 😊 thank you Pauline and Mary!

Michelle stayed with us for 2 weeks and she was able and confident caring for the dogs. Michelle had a positive attitude and followed instructions well, participating well in group activities and team work. We appreciate Michelle’s support and recommend her for future experiences. Thank you!! 🐾

The whole family warmly welcomed me, even though my English isn’t very good. They suggested ways I could help, which made me feel comfortable joining in. Every day, they cooked delicious meals, and we enjoyed eating together. They also took me to many different places — those moments were so much fun! I truly fell in love with the family and with the town of Senaki. It’s a wonderful place to experience real Georgian life, much more deeply than just staying in tourist areas. I loved the homemade grape juice and sweets made from their own harvest, and all the vegetable-rich meals. I also really loved the rivers, the natural hot springs, and the roads full of animals!
