Welcome home,
Your help is essential for us.
We are Jean-Louis and Mireille with our30 years old son, Alexandre.
We are a retired couple whose life changed dramatically with the accident of our son, almost 8 years ago. Alexander was finishing his mechanical engineering studies at McGill University when he was hit by a car while driving his bicycle and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. He is very willing to participate in all tasks of the house and garden but his lack of coordination and uncontrollable tremors often make him clumsy, so he needs help to help us. He is an exceptional young man who fights every day to improve his condition. He has all his head despite some obsessions (German – jiu-jitsu)but he is locked in a body that doesn’t respond properly to his demands and suffers of a lack of balance.
We would like you to give us a hand in the daily tasks both in the garden and in the house.
Alexandre circulates in a wheelchair.
He is a good chess player and also likes to teach it.
One of his passion not to say an obsession is JIU JITSU. So we would like you to be willing to do some, he will teach you.
He speaks French, English, Spanish and German (another passion).
We live in a large house in St-Ambroise de Kildare adapted to his needs with pool, large garden and several bedrooms for you to stay.
In summary, we are looking someone to help us in the house and in the garden and to help him, drive him to different activities. Therefore you will need an international driver's license or from Canada.

Nous sommes Jean-Louis et Mireille avec notre fils de 30 ans Alexandre, un couple de retraités dont la vie a changé du tout au tout avec l'accident de notre fils il y a près de 8 ans. Alexandre finissait ses études en génie mécanique à l’université McGill quand il a été frappé par une voiture alors qu’il circulait à vélo et a subi un traumatisme crânien sévère. Il est très volontaire pour toutes les tâches de la maison et de l'extérieur mais son manque de coordination et des tremblements incontrôlables le rendent souvent maladroit, il a donc besoin d'aide pour nous aider. C’est un jeune homme exceptionnel qui se bat tous les jours pour améliorer sa condition. Il a toute sa tête malgré quelques obsessions (jiu-jitsu-allemand) mais il est pris dans ce corps qui répond mal à ses demandes et qui manque d’équilibre.
Nous voudrions que vous nous donniez un coup de main dans les tâches quotidiennes tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. Alexandre circule en fauteuil roulant.
Il est un bon joueur d'échecs et aime les enseigner.
Une de ses passions pour ne pas dire une obsession est le JIU JITSU. Alors nous aimerions que vous en fassiez avec lui, il vous apprendra.
Il parle français, anglais, espagnol et allemand (une autre passion).
Nous habitons une grande maison à St-Ambroise de Kildare adaptée à ses besoins avec une piscine, un grand potager et plusieurs chambres pour vous héberger.
En résumé, nous cherchons quelqu'un pour nous aider dans la maison et le potager et pour l'aider, l'accompagner aussi à ses différentes activités.
Vous devrez donc avoir un permis de conduire international ou québécois.

We would like you to accompany Alexander in the tasks of everyday life and give us a hand in the daily tasks both in the garden and in the house. Alexandre circulates in a wheelchair but can also walk with a walker under supervision because he often looses his balance (cerebellum sequel therefore lack of balance).

Notre fils apprend l'allemand et le parle déjà bien, il parle aussi espagnol, anglais et français sa langue maternelle. J'ai enseigné le français langue seconde pendant 25 ans aux adultes et enfants.

We have a strong wifi and there is a desk in one of the room for workawayer. Nous avons un très bon wifi. Il y a un bureau dans une des chambres d'aide.
