I had a wonderful time here! The work is very flexible and you can pick what appeals to you most, be it tending to camp or assisting in expanding upon what's already there. Even though you work hard, there's lots of time to rest and Christian does a lot to give you a fulfilling experience on Sicily, taking you to the beach or incredible restaurants with live music! The stunning beaches were my favorite, with gorgeous clear water and views of other islands. I hope to return soon!

I stayed for 2 months here and absolutely loved it. The family is incredibly welcoming, each member has their own unique personality.The animals are adorable.I enjoyed every single meal (the food was delicious !). Even the Neighbors were very friendly.

Bernarndo has been such a help around the house! It was a last minute request to come support me and Kaylee when another sitter had to cancel, and he was quick to adjust to life in my apartment. He listened well to the instructions around dog care, and has been intentional about making sure the best is done for Kaylee, the dog in his care. He kept the public spaces clean when using them, and even made some meals for me on my particularly long days. He enjoys some calm nights in but also enjoys exploring the social scenes within the city! He has been very communicative with questions and travel plans. When I was away he kept me updated, sent videos and pictures, and kept the apartment in splendid shape. He is still figuring out what and where we he wants to go with his life, so wants to see what different communities have to offer. Give him a chance, be clear with instructions, and you'll have a great help around your home/community as well!

We spent two weeks at Bree and Michael's ranch. They really went above and beyond to show us everything we could see and experience! This was something we'd been on our bucket list for a long time, so we're so grateful to Bree and Michael! We had a wonderful time with them and loved the outdoors and all the animals on the ranch! The best two weeks of our trip!

absoultly love my time with Lingge & Jet ~ they're not only incredible hosts but all-round incredible people. They were very welcoming and warm right from the start, any nervousness i felt was relieved immediately. I feel so lucky to have them as my first Workaway experience ♡ Despite being a young hotel, everyone is very efficient, professional, and helpful to those who are new to hotel work [ like me :) ]. I've learned a lot here through doing various tasks. I really enjoy getting to do a variety of jobs. Work days vary depending how many guests there are & the season, its very enjoyable working in such a beautiful and kind environment. The hotel itself is gorgeous and surrounded by nature. The area has plenty of beautiful beaches, nature walks, unique cafes and attractions, there is plenty of time outside of work to enjoy the area. Anyone who comes here are in good, safe hands with Lingge & Jet

This was our second volunteering experience, and we were really lucky! Christina is such a kind, loving, and wonderful person. We felt very fortunate during our stay. She helped us with tips about Bad Endorf and the surrounding areas, as well as with many other things. The area is beautiful—if you want to explore the south of Germany, this is an excellent place to start. Our tasks included helping to restore a cabin, organizing and sorting items, and painting. Christina guided us at first, but then we were able to continue on our own. There are always different projects to help with. Since she also runs an Airbnb, sometimes the work involves helping with cleaning and preparing for new guests. We would highly recommend this experience! Christina has so much knowledge, and spending time with her, her mother, and her son Leo was truly enjoyable. We send them a big hug and many thanks for everything!

Marcus stayed with us for over a month and it felt like he came a such a pivotal time and helped us push along with a number of projects. He built a beautiful outdoor shelter and helped us start on a structure for our tiny home. His skills and craftsmanship were expectional. He was great with the kids and an absolute pleasure to have around. He comes highly recommended, and I hope our paths cross again one day!

Loris helped us with different tasks such as garden work, changing sheets, vacuuming, cleaning, writing the text for a sign and other tasks. 🙏 He was always in a very positive and happy mood, we could really feel that he loved being here and that was so nice and lovely that he was so good at expressing his joy. 🙏 Loris thinks he's not that good at English, but we think he's better than he thinks... There were words pronounced in a very Italian accent and also some words that was hard to find, but he's really good at making himself understood with the quite many words he knows. 🙏 He's very open and shares many great stories from Italy and from his childhood, we loved to listen to all these interesting stories. 🙏 Loris is something out of the ordinary, a very unique young man with a lot of warmth and a very cheerful nature, we really enjoyed his presence and his positivity. 🙏 We did disagree on some points and we had some deep talks, since we're both quite philosophical. Loris also has a lot of great humor, so we laughed a lot with him, thanks for that, dear Loris. 🙏 Loris is hardworking when it's required and he enjoys when it wasn't required, so he enjoyed the yearly festival here in Skanderborg and also he went to Aarhus to party and made friends all over, everyone loved him. 😍 Loris is a good writer, so his communication in writing is always exciting, insightful and very detailed, I enjoyed very much to read his thoughts and opinions and enjoyed that he is good at responding to any question I had or any task I wrote. 🙏 Loris is extremely generous, he brought meat and cheese from Italy and he shared it many times with us and our Japanese workawayer, and he bought food and cooked for us sometimes and he often bought his own of course Italian food, he's good at cooking, we liked his food. 🙏 It seems Loris enjoys indoor work more than garden work bc that's what he chose mostly and it was always a joy to have him helping in the house. 🙏 If Loris made any mistakes he was always happy to correct them in a good spirit. 🙏 We had a lot of fun and we're looking forward to seeing you next year same time.... We warmly recommend Loris as a really wonderful and special workawayer with a heart of gold and a good working spirit, just a really good spirit in general 😍 Thank you Loris 🙏

I had an amazing time with Joanna! She is caring, kind, attentive, funny and authentic. I learned a lot from her and her lifestyle, which made this a rich and valuable experience. Joanna is flexible, listened to my ideas and gave me a lot of freedom. I felt very appreciated and was warmly welcomed from the start. I value her as a host and as a person so will definitely come back to visit!! Thanks again for everything :)

We had a truly wonderful experience hosting Danika! 🙏 She brought great energy and creativity to our team, always full of ideas — especially during brainstorming sessions. Danika was not only productive but also incredibly helpful in every task she took on. When it came to engaging the children, she was always the first to step in, keeping them active, involved, and smiling. All in all, we truly appreciated and benefited from her time with us. She made a meaningful impact, and we’re grateful for her contribution!

I was a nice experience to work with Celeste ( Emma and Rayan ) at our school and community where they were all very supportive and helpful to the kids, madams and other communities around. They brought clothes and shoes which donated to a one Maasai village near Arusha. We’re really proud of them and we recommend them for the future host

Brenden and Brooke stayed on our farm for close to a month. We all loved their stay with us very much! They are delightful , full of joy, considerate, enthusiastic about helping, and bring with them a varied and useful set of skills. They are also skillful enough that I could hand them the materials and the tools needed for a project and they would get the job done. They take time to plan and dialog, making sure they are proceeding on projects the best way possible. They have a huge amount of initiative and the patience and dedication to complete the tasks at hand. They helped us everyday with our long list of farm chores, with Brooke even taking over our goat milking completely for a few days. Brenden also spearheaded the design and implementation of a large deck that needed to be replaced due to rot while Brooke bravely dove into a large section of dry rot repair. This also led to some foundational repair work and multiple other detailed elements needed to complete the job in the best way possible. They work tremendously well as a team and together they rebuilt a beautiful deck, replaced rotten stairs, fixed multiple areas of dry rot in the side of the home, replaced our window trim and siding in multiple spots, replaced an exterior door, rebuilt steps, hung up a 60 foot vinyl wall, and so much more. All this without my ever needing to worry about what was getting done because they were careful, trustworthy, responsible, and capable. They willing jumped in and helped in a myriad of other ways around the farm as well, from hauling wheelbarrows of sand to medicating livestock, they were always willing and eager to help and learn. Our entire family loved getting to know both of them and we had many wonderful hours visiting around the kitchen table. They are wonderful people and we highly recommend them without hesitation. They are carriers of much joy and put their heart into the skills they share. A true blessing to have in our home and we wish them all the best on their journey.

Our stay with Maria was truly amazing! She is welcoming, funny, generous, and always made us feel at home. We really enjoyed the warm atmosphere, the shared activities, and the kindness she showed us. We agreed with Maria to work full time in her project in the countryside in order to have a full week of vacation to visit the hills around and the main Italian cities. She was so happy about our work that she gave us the opportunity to stay in her Airbnb apartment in the center of Bologna, 10 minutes walk from the train station and 3 minutes from the main square Piazza Maggiore! Great location to travel. I have to say that Maria is a clear person about the tasks, she gave us specific duties and she assisted us also by telephone when we needed. She is very tidy and clean in her house and garden and she expect the workawayers to be the same! She also offered incentives in other locations for us to visit. If you like work and travel visiting around this is the place

Heather and Phil were great hosts! We spent only one week with them but we really enjoyed the peace of their place. Both are really interesting people, Phil has lots of funny/incredible anecdotes about his travels and Heather is a very good cook. They took us to play bowls at their club and showed us a few places in the surroundings, we‘re very grateful for that! The jobs were varied, we did some concrete work, painting, cleaned the gutters and helped repair the veranda. Thanks again for everything!

Shunta is amazing! A very nice young gentlemen, polite, open-minded, hard-working, always ready to try out new things. While he is most careful in everything he does, he also is sporty and physically strong for any rough work. We also learned that he is an excellent cook! Shunta could check out recipes on the internet, and then cook splendid dinners, delicious pies… and plum jam and concentrate. We can absolutely recommend Shunta to anybody seeking for the best possible workawayer. Arigato gozaimas, Shunta! Ots!

I stayed at André’s place from September 15th until the 24th together with my friend Albert, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a kinder host. His place is a small ranch, surrounded by trees, flowers, and fruit plants — really peaceful and beautiful. The house itself is spacious, and you can tell he’s slowly getting everything organized. André lives there with his German Shepherd, Hinata — she’s super sweet, full of energy, and always around. Since he lives alone, he’s got his own little quirks and routines, but he did everything he could to make sure we felt comfortable, even with a full house of four volunteers. At first, he seemed a bit nervous with the daily tasks (which it's normal), but we worked together to set up a checklist and a schedule, and after that, everything went smoothly. Andre is very flexible with our routine. We felt comfortable about our schedule. We all took turns cooking and cleaning, and it turned out to be a really good system. André himself was always helpful, checking in on our well-being, and even took us out — we went hiking and also to Napier city, which is about 40 minutes away by car. He always makes sure you feel well, bought for us more than 1x the delicious New Zealand 🇳🇿 Beer - Tui. Besides that, always provided us amazing foods and drinks. REALLY ONE OF THE BEST HOSTS WE HAVE EVER! What really stood out is how much equipment he has for gardening and maintenance — his garage is fully equipped, like a playground for anyone who enjoys hands-on work. We drove his little truck (lawn mower). It was a highlight too. Overall, we had a really positive experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful spot away from the city, with lots of outdoor tasks to do and a host to talk about whatever you want and make some plans together or not this is definitely a place we’d recommend. Kaitlyn was a huge asset for all tasks related to the animals. With her calm nature, she was able to interact with the animals in a very loving way and created a safe environment for them at all times. She was very attentive and always helpful. At the same time, she is also very good at keeping herself busy and making friends in her free time. Kaitlyn is in the process of discovering the world and finding her place in it. I think it should definitely be close to animals. All the best to you, and the Weidenhof is always open to you.

We were lucky to find Petter in a time of emergency, and he quickly adapted and took ownership of the tasks at hand. He was proactive, clean, polite, cheerful, and funny, and it was a real pleasure to have him around. He also spent time with our children, playing board games and keeping them entertained. They really enjoyed his company and he became very popular with them. Overall, Petter was a thoughtful and positive presence in our home, and I would be very happy to recommend him to other hosts.

Maija and Kiira have been such lovely guests. We have really enjoyed their company. They have been very good in taking care of our young dog, who will miss them for sure. Also our daughter now thinks, she has two Finnish sisters. They have been very reliable and also flexible in times of unforeseen circumstances. The tasks they were given they did with great care. We also enjoyed tasting some Finnish cuisine and introducing them to a lot more vegetarian food, that they are used to. We recommend everyone to invite them to their homes and we will always welcome them back to stay with us. All the best for their future !
