Good morning!
We are Caroline and Margaretha, a Franco-German lesbian couple, feminist, left-wing ecologists and atheist. We have a little girl born in the summer of 2023. 0n arrived in the Dordogne in 2022 in an old farm with the project of reviving it, growing vegetables for us and fruits for our customers.
We have an adorable dog (Border collie), about fifteen chickens, a hectare of diversified orchard and a large vegetable garden. We are preparing to plant half a hectare of kiwi, replant part of the existing orchard in syntropy, complete our walnut grove and do the winter pruning.
We would like to receive some woofeu.ses over the November-December period to help us plant and prune. Ideally between 2 weeks and a month at a time. We always explain how to do it and work together most of the time, but if you have already handled a spae and a branch cutter it is better.

Nous sommes Caroline et Margaretha un couple lesbien franco-allemand, féministe, écologistes de gauche et athéiste. On a une petite fille née en été 2023. 0n est arrivée en Dordogne en 2022 dans une ancienne ferme avec le projet de la faire revivre, d’y cultiver des légumes pour nous et des fruits pour nos clients.
On a une chienne (Border collie) adorable, une quinzaine de poules, un hectare de verger diversifié et un grand potager. On s'apprête à planter un demi hectare de kiwi, à replanter une partie du verger existant en syntropie, compléter notre noyeraie et faire les tailles d'hiver.
Nous aimerions recevoir quelques woofeu.ses sur la période novembre-décembre pour nous aider à planter et tailler. Idéalement entre 2 semaines et un mois à la fois. Nous expliquons toujours comment faire et travaillons ensemble la plupart du temps, mais si vous avez déjà manié une bèche et un coupe-branche c'est mieux.

We like to talk at the table and sometimes at work if that doesn't stop us from continuing. We both traveled a lot, read, studied, met... So we have a lot of things to tell! And at least so much to learn! We have recently trained in syntropy, agroforestry and mushroom cultivation.
We speak several languages but try to choose the people we welcome over the same period so that we can all communicate in the same language.
Nous aimons discuter à table et parfois au travail si ça n'empêche pas de continuer. Nous avons toutes deux beaucoup voyagé, lu, étudié, rencontré... Du coup on a plein de choses à raconter! Et au moins autant à apprendre! Nous nous sommes récemment formées à la syntropie, l'agroforesterie et la culture des champignons.
Nous parlons plusieurs langues mais essayons de choisir les gens que nous accueillons sur la même période de telle sorte que l'on puisse tous communiquer dans une même langue.

The tasks are rather physical:
-Plant trees and hedges
- prune trees/hedges and grind the branches to mulch
- orchard maintenance: planting, weeding, mulching
- Cutting and transporting firewood
We expect you to listen well and be serious: be on time, sober, ready, listen to the instructions and pay attention to what you do.
Les tâches sont plutôt physiques:
-Planter des arbres et des haies
- tailler des arbres/haies et broyer les branche pour faire du paillage
- entretien du verger : plantation, désherbage, paillage
- Couper et transporter du bois de chauffage
Nous attendons de vous une bonne écoute et du sérieux au travail : être à l'heure, sobre, prêt.e, écouter les consignes et faire attention à ce que l'on fait.

Acomodação
You are housed in a house, alone or with another worker. This presupposes being autonomous in everyday life (meals, household, etc...) However, we eat together on the days we work, which allows us to have moments of exchange. The house is well equipped, it is rented as a cottage in the summer. You will have your own room, hot water, heating if necessary and all the modern comforts.
As for food, there are all the basic products at home, fruits and vegetables from the garden and a prize pool that allows you to buy something to complement according to your preferences and diet.
In the vicinity:
Lalinde: The nearest city with train station, supermarkets, bakeries, shops, restaurants, bars, (5 min. by car, 10 min. by bike).
Bergerac: 30 min by car, 20 min from Lalinde by train.
Bordeaux: 2 hours by train
Vous êtes logé.e dans une maison, seul.e ou avec un.e autre workayer. Cela suppose d'être autonome dans le quotidien (repas, ménage, etc...) Cependant nous mangeons ensemble les jours où nous travaillons, ce qui permet d'avoir des moments d'échange. La maison est bien équipée, on la loue comme gîte l'été. Vous aurez votre propre chambre, de l'eau chaude, du chauffage si besoin et tout le confort moderne.
Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, il y a tous les produits de base à la maison, des fruits et légumes du jardin et une cagnotte qui vous permet d'acheter de quoi compléter selon vos préférences et votre régime alimentaire.
Dans les environs :
Lalinde : La ville la plus proche avec gare, supermarchés, boulangeries, magasins, restaurants, bars, (5 min. en voiture, 10 min. en vélo).
Bergerac : 30 min en voiture, 20 min de Lalinde en train.
Bordeaux : 2 heures en train

What to bring: Bring good work shoes and clothes that can get dirty without getting wet. Protection from the rain is essential and warm clothing is necessary for the winter months in addition to weather resistant clothing and boots. We will not work under the pouring rain but we might run back under it!

Ce qu'il faut apporter :
Prévoyez de bonnes chaussures de travail, imperméables (des bottes par exemple) et des vêtements qui peuvent se salir. Une veste de pluie, on évite de travailler sous la pluie battante, mais parfois on n'a d'autre choix que de supporter une légère pluie ou d'enfiler son kway pour rentrer se mettre à l'abri quand ça drache!
