We live on 15 acres in the hills overlooking the Huon River. The property features many practical examples of permaculture design including food forests and intensive gardens. Our home is a solar passive with a large vegetable garden, mixed fruit orchard, hazelnut orchard, cattle, chickens and goats. I am passionate about regenerative agriculture and have set up a small scale demonstration farm, and also consult and and teach in regen grazing and permaculture. Living on a property that is beautiful and harmonious is important to us.

Helpers sleep in a large and clean bus, or the house depending on the weather and volunteer numbers. We eat meals together at the house. We have a mixed diet (some of us eat meat, some don't).
The Huon River is only a km away. It is a great river for swimming, kayaking and rowing. There are lovely bushwalks around us. There are buses to Hobart and to the south very close by.
