  Hi! We're Lara and Marlene. We're 27 years old and have been a couple for 4 years.
  We're originally from Germany and moved to Calgary at the end of 2022. We have lived in few different countries already - we met in France and then Lara went to Italy for an Erasmus semester and Marlene to Argentina. After that we both moved to Austria for our Master's degree and now we are looking forward to discovering Canada. :)
  As we are a proud part of the LGBTQIA+ community, we'd be particularly happy to host anyone who identifies as part of the community too.
  We live a vegan lifestyle but don't worry, you don't have to be vegan for us to host you. We will only provide vegan food but you're free to buy + prepare anything you'd like for yourself.

  We're looking forward to sharing dinner with you and getting to know you more. We love to meet new people and talk about travel stories, our own couchsurfing/workaway experiences + life in general. :)
  
  Depending on the time of year, your own preferences and the vibe between us in general, we're happy to spend more time together - play games in the evenings, take you with us on a hike on the weekend or go for a drink in the city etc..

  Ajuda

  The help we are looking for includes:
  
  1) Walking our dog in the morning and at around noon. This will be about 60 min total. Abby is great off-leash and is flexible about when to go out, meaning anytime before 10am will be fine for her. We occasionally have foster dogs staying with us, so if there is more dogs, you would take them out on the walk too.
  2) Vacuuming the house and cleaning the floors every 2-3 days (depending on whether it is necessary or not. Our house is only 90m2 big, so don't worry it's nothing major to do.
  3) In addition to these task, we will give you 1-2 additional tasks each helping day which we will discuss together in the evening before. These tasks can be for example cleaning the fridge/oven/stovetops, windows, cars, deep clean a certain room in the house or garden work. The garden work depends on the season, there might not be much garden work in the winter. There will be also some days where you have to take out the dog(s) twice!
  
  You will work approximately 5 hours on 5 days a week. You will get two days off per week.
  You are free to plan your day according to your own preferences - we don't care about when the help is done during the day. We do request that it is done before 4-5pm. We're also open to giving you a day off if you're travelling or going on day trips if you complete the work the day prior (day 1: work from day 1 and 2, day 2 : off).
  We can only accept you to stay for a maximum of two weeks, preferably 10 days or less. Please check our indicated availabilities.

  Acomodação

  You will have your own bedroom. For couples, we can pull the bed out to the size of a kingsize bed. You will have some space in the drawers for your clothes. The bathroom is shared with us.
  
  If we cook dinner, we're happy to cook for you as well and eat together. In the morning and during the day, you're free to take anything you need from the fridge.

  We live in Calgary Bowness, so very close to the mountains. Day trips to Kananaskis or Banff National Park are perfect. Calgary itself has a lot of great parks and neighborhoods to explore as well. We live close to the river. Calgary has public transit that can get you anywhere in the city (it might take a bit though). We're happy to recommend some places to you and help you organize your free time if you need us to.

  We have unlimited internet connection all around the house. Lara sometimes works from home as well.

  Abby loves to meet new dogs and we're flexible about other animals as well, except for cats as Marlene is allergic to them, unfortunately.
