  Short-Term Helpers Welcome! 🏡🌿
  We welcome volunteers for short stays, even less than a week, to help with house tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and maintaining our space. Whether you have a few days or more, you're invited to join us and contribute to our community!

  We are looking for two passionate individuals to join our small urban community in Melissia, Athens, and work alongside the NGO. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a purposeful, impactful team that blends skill-sharing, project management, and community-driven initiatives.
  
  About Our Urban Community
  You’ll live with Theodosis Tzanos (founder of IDEA), one other team member, and our cat, in a peaceful 120-square-meter home located 16 km from the center of Athens. The goal of our urban community is to manage and expand IDEA's projects, from marketing and project management to administrative tasks. Over time, we aim to transition this community into a sustainable living space closer to nature.
  
  Living Arrangement
  Our ideal aim is for individuals to make this their base for an indefinite period, with the freedom to come and go as they please. We foster long-term involvement for those committed to deepening their connection with the community and our projects.
  
  The Process:
  
  One-week trial period: Get familiar with the tasks and daily life in our community.
  
  One-month trial period: Further integration into projects and house routines.
  
  Three-month trial period: Active involvement in managing projects, with the opportunity to make this your long-term base.
  Throughout these periods, we’ll schedule regular calls to check in, and you may be given some tasks to complete.
  
  
  What We Offer
  
  A cozy room with a private bathroom.
  
  Home-cooked vegetarian meals.
  
  Training in project management, marketing, and administrative tasks to grow your skills.

  Your Role
  
  Contribute 5 hours a day, 5 days a week to house and community tasks.
  
  Help with cleaning, caring for our balcony garden, and taking care of our cat.
  
  Apply or develop skills in project management, marketing, social media, or administration.
  
  Participate in transitioning our urban community into a sustainable living space in nature.
  
  
  What We’re Looking For
  
  Individuals with skills or interest in project management, marketing, or administrative roles, or those eager to learn.
  
  Passion for community living and creating positive change.
  
  Tech-savvy individuals or social media managers are a plus.
  
  Animal lovers (we have a cat!) 🐱
  
  History of this place and Our Achievements: This place is a non-profit Union that was established in 2009 with the vision of promoting active citizenship and creating a collaborative environment of trust, respect, and co-ownership. Since our inception, we have:
  
  Launched over 500 projects aimed at helping with the basic needs of people, from providing food to homeless people and families with children, to environmental actions and international projects in Japan, Spain, and Armenia.
  Aided over 25,000 people.
  Crowdfunded over €180,000, with 90% of donations used directly for projects.
  Animal Lovers Only: Please note that we have a cat living in the house, so we only host animal lovers. 🐱❤️

  First important thing is that you have a good heart and are giving towards society. This is mandatory! Graphic design skills, video editing skills, dance skills and any art will be appreciated but not mandatory.

  Acomodação

  Total sq meters of the house is 118 and there are 2 bathrooms. The accommodation is of a very high standard and the area (Melissia) is one of the best and safest in Athens, while being only 16km from the centre. The closest metro station is 2.5km away and can be reached either by walking, bicycle or bus.

  The city centre is 20 min by metro (doukisis plakendias station blue line) and the metro is 3km from the house (walk or take bus). Around 50 minutes in total (cost of ticket 1,2€ - half price for students.
