Hi, I'm Yiannis and I live in the country side of Zacharo in West Peloponnese. I moved here some years ago escaping from the big city's noise. I am a former sales executive in medical industry and also former owner of media advertising & marketing company.
Now, I enjoy the nature life and I run seasonal agricultural, tourism and eco projects for a living.
At the same time I established an interactive community lifestyle here making my property a getaway place for travelers, locals and anyone that wishes to explore and share life experiences 🏴☠️
Also, though the place is not an animal shelter we always take action in animal care whenever it is necessary.
I live with 4dogs that they are more family and roommates than pets. So in case you don't have at least appreciation feelings about this please don't bother to apply.
I'm a 50 years old teenager who still rides the motorcycle and escapes to nature when there's the chance. I lived all my life moving from place to place all over Greece. Never stayed in a place more than 3 years. It's my first long term stay here in my country house which is my pleasure to share it with travellers of any age, culture or nationality.
My primary expectation is the respect to the place and people. Positive energy is what make things happen around here.✌️
👉 This year a new non profit concept also started here. We interact and support travelers passing by the area in any kind of need they might have. So even if you are around the area and you need any support please feel free to contact.

Here you can experience and enjoy country and village life in the center of West Peloponnese.
Zacharo is a small town into official Natura Zone. Sea, mountains & lake in one place! Beach walks, hiking, 4X4 rides, horse riding, waterskiing, fishing, paragliding, kitesurfing are some options for outdoor activities you can have here. In case you wish to put yourself into relax mode and just enjoy the peaceful nature, this is the place for you!
Additionally you can experience or participate to local farm or agricultural activities all around the area. Learn things about olives, vegetables, greenhouses, animals etc
There's always something to fix, renovate or to be built here so you have the chance to use or improve your diy skills
And of course many historical places near by, like Ancient Olympia, to visit any time.
You gonna meet both locals and travellers to share experiences and activities.

At this moment the kind of help needed is about housekeeping, yard maintenance, dogs care and simple creative renovation tasks.
I really appreciate self motivated mature people that there's no need for me to say or explain anything of the above.
Sharing food supplies and cooking is a matter of discussion depending on your stay, the season, your dietary requirements and the number of people here.

I am willing and I can give practical tips and guidance for those they want to learn basic of more skilled things about Greek language.

1. Olive harvest season up to January -February
2. People with camber vans are welcomed anytime because of plenty of space.
3. It's not nessecery to participate to the harvest but if you wish you could have a harvest tour around just to get the experience.
4. When there's extra indoor availability I will update here.
5. Cyclists or backpackers can be here indoors anytime for short stay, even for one night,
Two private rooms for two people each, plus one thematic room which is builded exclusively with upcycling materials.
Plenty of secure place to the surrounding garden-yard for middle size van campers.
The house is full equipment and anybody can use the indoor. Kitchen for cooking, two bathrooms, living room with fireplace and window bar, laundry , workshop etc
There are big balconies all around for anyone to relax viewing the sea or the hills.
I have to mention again that there are friendly and playful dogs that share all these with us.
If you don't feel joy about that please don't bother.

You can make your own daily program and you can use the car, the motorbike or the 4X4 to do your own rides around.

The place is located at at the foot of the local hills into nature surrounded by olive trees and offers a panoramic view of the area up to the beach which is only 1km distance.There is indoor and outdoor space for campers, cyclists, bikers, backpackers & digital nomads. Travellers of any kind can find here a safe & pleasant place for a short or long term stay

People that they have to work online must know that the internet speed is around 16mds dwn/1,5mbs up. Also there's the option for 10mbs up using hot-spot. Zoom and other platforms works satisfactorily so far.

Safe and comfortable place for campervans. Not the huge ones though. In such cases there are many parking spots around the area and i would be glad to support your presence in the area by providing you the facilities of the house when needed.
