Hi all native English speakers. I am Hoang. I live in Hội An, one of 7 World Heritage Sites in Vietnam
I am really in love with this town. And because of this passion I spend my time to get to know better every little pieces of it, such as the beauties of my hometown. With paddy rice field, traditional house, Champa kingdom building, yummy street food whenever you are...
I would like to advise you of a project which I am just starting, to collect books and calling volunteers to open a LIBRARY and English class for the children of Hội An town.
The club is where students can go to read English language books and to learn and practice speaking English from native speakers who are working, studying or just travelling in Vietnam, and are willing to give their time. We understand that this project will help many children whose future prospects in life would be greatly improved with the ability to speak English.
This “Storytime” club concept now has the approval and encouragement of many parents who realise that if their children can grow up reading, speaking and learning English they will become more confident in communicating, socially and in business, with foreigners.
For this reason I want to bring this very good idea to my hometown where it will give students the chance to interact with native English speakers in a friendly and informative environment.
In addition, we have a homeschooling group of 9 children from 6 to 11 years old up to now. We teach US primary program at a homeschooling site downtown of Hoi An. We are calling for volunteer teachers from all around the world who come to Hoi An and want to teach them 2 hours/day on weekdays. We can offer room to stay for 2 at school during your stay in Hoian. The children are happy kids and we hope the volunteer work here will give you good experience while in centtal town of Vietnam.

I had the best time helping Hoang teach English to the local kids! I was only able to stay a few days but during that time I was able to experience the local life and see the energy the children put towards learning English! They truly want to learn! Hoang runs such a good program for them, I highly recommend!!!!! :) :)
