My one acre property sometimes gets away on me and some assistance is appreciated. I am a mature widow, living alone, retired secondary school teacher who works voluntarily in the community. I have travelled considerably and enjoy learning about other places in the world. Conversation is important to me.

I have a broad knowledge of the Southland area and all of New Zealand and can advise on forward travel.

Work could include seasonal garden maintenance, planting, weeding and harvesting veges and fruit, in tunnel house and rose gardens. Perhaps household maintenance. On wet days when we cannot go outside, spring-cleaning could be a possibility.

Guest rooms in large house; shared bathrooms. Short term stays preferred (two-three nights) because there is not so much work for a longer period and limited activities in our town. Older people especially welcome.

Location is 500 m from the sea and 1 km from the town centre of the historical seaside town of Riverton. Bicycles available for getting yourselves about, to the beach and so on. Non-smokers only. I have wifi for your convenience.
