Hello everyone! 👋

My name is Mauricio but my project i call sin fronteras sobre ruedas,and for the past 3 years I have been traveling the world by bicycle. This slow and simple way of moving has given me the chance to deeply connect with people, learn different languages, and discover the beauty of new cultures in a very authentic way.
I consider myself an open-minded and curious person, always ready to learn and to share. Everywhere I go, I try to immerse myself in local traditions, contribute where I can, and leave a little positive seed behind. For me, traveling is not just about moving from one place to another, but about creating meaningful exchanges, building bridges between people, and growing together.

Through this journey I have learned to be resilient, adaptable and creative. Life on the road constantly teaches me how to solve problems, stay patient, and appreciate the little things. I bring this same mindset and energy into every project I join.

Spanish (native) – My mother tongue, which I love to share and teach. • Portuguese – Fluent, thanks to my travels and cultural immersion in Portuguese-speaking countries. • English – Good level, enough to communicate and work comfortably in international environments. • French – Basic conversational skills, currently improving through practice. • Italian – I understand a bit and can communicate at a basic level. I’m very open to learning new languages wherever I go, as I see language as a beautiful bridge to connect with people and cultures. I also really enjoy teaching my own language (Spanish) to others in exchange. 🌍✨

Over the past years I’ve had the chance to explore and grow in many different areas thanks to my studies, travels, and Workaway experiences:

💻 Software Development – I studied as a professional software developer, which gave me strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to adapt to new challenges quickly.

🚴 Bicycle Touring & Maintenance – After 3 years of cycling around the world, I’ve learned not only resilience but also practical bicycle mechanics to keep the journey going.

🌱 Gardening & Greenhouses – I’ve worked on different ecological and agricultural projects, including greenhouse construction and gardening tasks such as planting, harvesting, and general maintenance.

🏡 Hostel & Hospitality Work – Experience helping in hostels with reception, cleaning, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

🍇 Seasonal Farm Work – Participated in grape harvest season in France, working in the vineyards and learning about teamwork and agricultural routines.

📸 Creative Content & Drone Videos – I enjoy capturing moments from my travels through drone videos and social media content creation, which I also use to support projects and share their stories.

🔧 Construction & Practical Skills – Hands-on experience in building and maintenance projects, including teamwork in outdoor and manual labor tasks.

🤝 Languages & Cultural Exchange – Traveling has given me the chance to learn and practice different languages, and I love teaching and exchanging knowledge with others.
