I stayed for 3 months and throughout my time the workload was reasonable, the food abundant, and there were plenty of good times to be had. Peter and I went to several fun events together in Putney and Bellows Falls during my stay :) You are expected to work hard and help out, and if you are happy to do that then you'll do great here! The work was 5 hours a day Monday - Friday. The accommodations had everything I needed and some charm to them. Peter was a gracious, generous host and always made sure I was good. Some of the work I did was hauling wood, cleaning & cooking, organizing, sanding wood floors, leaf blowing & hauling leaves, and gardening :)

I think it’s never too late to write a review to one of the most wonderful hardworking and committed volunteers .During her stay here Nina gained people’s love and respect.Our students and teachers and the other volunteers were very sad to see her go. La primera semana trabajamos juntas en el jardín de la Madre Amor, y las siguientes tres semanas cuidó mi casa y a mis perros mientras yo viajaba. Fue una experiencia realmente divina. Mis perros la amaban, y la casa se mantuvo como un verdadero santuario, llena de orden, calma y paz con su presencia. Es responsable, amorosa, muy respetuosa de los espacios y con una sensibilidad especial para los animales y el hogar. La recomiendo profundamente como voluntaria y como persona. Madeline estuvo aquí aproximadamente mes y medio, entre septiembre, octubre y hasta el 7 de noviembre. Durante ese tiempo hizo un trabajo excelente y muy profesional con mi pag wep, por lo cual estoy profundamente agradecida. Más allá de su gran capacidad y responsabilidad, Madeline es una persona sumamente amable, respetuosa y considerada. Nos conectamos como hermanas, la convivencia fue muy armoniosa y siempre mostró una actitud abierta, cariñosa y colaboradora. Well I must say it was a huge pleasure to host caitlin and Ben.. it was easy and a great pleasure because they care about what they do and it really shows. I was sorry to see them go and I really hope our paths cross again one day. Bon voyage and big hugs to both.

Blaz helped in our hostel for a few weeks, mainly at the bar and reception, but he was always willing to lend a hand even in his free time wherever was needed. He got along great with the other volunteers, guests, and hostel staff, we could always count on him. He often took initiative and looked for ways to improve our place. Having him here was a really fun and positive experience, and we truly appreciate everything he did for us! Surely reccomened him to any other hosts!

Mi primer voluntariado fue con Emilse y Sebastian, ellos me recibieron en su acogedora casa y me hicieron sentir como en casa, Emilse estuvo pendiente de que no me hiciera falta nada, ellos tienen dos bebés muy lindas y divertidas, pasé un tiempo muy lindo con ellas, me transmitieron su alegría y esos momentos los llevo en el corazón, alrededor hay senderos para caminar y un hermoso pueblito cerca, el autobús está a 6 minutos caminando, es muy fácil el acceso. Gracias Sebastian y Emilse, espero volver un día🥰

We really enjoyed working with those lovely animals! They are amazing and each of them has their own personality! You will get the working routine really quickly and it's not a physically hard work. Edwin was really kind and explained everything to us. Unfortunately, no one speaks English, so there is kind of a language barrier. But Edwin made the effort to speak quite slow in Spanish and we managed to have better conversations the longer we stayed. We stayed in refugio 2 and had a private, spacious room and a bathroom, that's only shared with visitors which was nice. But the hygiene aspect was not good. You have to be prepared that you are sharing the living room with dogs and the kitchen as well. Edwin did his best to clean up the common areas every day, but our room and the bathroom were super dirty on arrival and it's your own responsibility. We talked to the host Jheymi about it and she just put the blame on the workaway people before us. So we had to clean up someome elses mess ourselves, which was not nice. We got working clothes, which was great to protect our cown cothes from scratches and dirt. But after five days they were super dirty and smelly - on our requests that they are washed towards Jheymie that didn't happen - as she was very busy in the time we were there, maybe she forgot. And sadly because of this, she also didn't really have time for us. But Edwin was always there and super nice! To sum up, it's not a place to feel cozy and comfortable, but the dogs and cats really appreciate the love you give them and make it all worth it. Be aware that you have to be at the refugio at 8 pm and that buying groceries and daily needs is expensive there. The blue busses to Bellavista (you can buy the next food there) cost 0.50$ per person and to Puerto Ayora 1$ per person. If you want, you can visit the Tortuga Bay for free, it's really nice!

My stay at Krischa’s place was really memorable experience. I learned a lot from the daily routine, from spending time with the animals, and from the conversations we shared each day. Living with Workawayers from different countries also made the experience more interesting and added a nice cultural exchange to everyday life. During my stay, I helped with different tasks around the farm, including some maintenance work and supporting the care of Bonny. I also helped when the car needed to be transported. Krischa always expressed her appreciation, and because of that. It felt good to contribute during my time there. I also really enjoyed our relaxed evenings together. We played card games, watched movies, and had snacks, which created a warm and friendly atmosphere in the house. Krischa even took time to show us different places in the area, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Spending time with Bonny the pony, Fenno the dog, and Max the cat added a lively and comforting feeling to each day. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m glad I had the chance to stay there. I wish you all the best going forward.

Patrizia gets a warm recommendation from us! She is very sweet, hard working, reliable and able to notice how to be helpful even without asking. Her motivation is outstanding. She stayed with us for a week to learn to take care of our horses, cats and dog and after that took care of everything by herself for a week while we were travelling. Eveything was well taken care of and our dog absolutely adored her!

I really enjoyed staying with Janita and Pete. We had a great time playing board games in the evenings. We always ate together and they both taught me lots about vegetarian cooking during my two weeks there. I helped out with jobs around the house and in the vegetable garden which was really satisfying. I also got to meet some of there friends and family which was nice. Thank you both for hosting me!

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno fantastico nella finca di Jenny e Mauricio. Due persone molto disponibili, accoglienti e che conoscono molto bene l'Ecuador. Ci hanno infatti dato molti consigli sui posti da visitare dandoci l'opportunità di viaggiare oltre che lavorare. Il lavoro si svolgeva al mattino, dopo una buona colazione preparata da Mauricio, e alle 13.00 ci si ritrovava tutti insieme per un pranzo molto ricco. Il lavoro era semplice e ci veniva spiegato da Mauricio sempre con molta pazienza. Abbiamo avuto modo anche di assaggiare i piatti tipici ecuadoriani e ogni occasione era buona per giocare a macchiavelli. È stato bello stare in compagnia anche dei vicini Marianella e Sebastian, con il quale abbiamo fatto qualche passeggiata per scoprire il paese di Tulipe e le cascate nei dintorni. Non li ringrazieremo mai abbastanza per l'ospitalità e i consigli di viaggio che ci hanno dato! Sicuramente uno dei migliori Work Away che abbiamo trascorso! Grazie di tutto.

The girls heidi and hanna were the last of my season...i had a lot of work for them and wasn't going to be there the all time but as soon as I picked them up i knew it was going to be great. They are so lovely and easy going no need to ask for washing up or clearing or anything they are just so proactive .Never rebuted by any work they just do it and with absolute precision. So beautiful they really went the extra mile to make me happy and I enjoyed evry moments with them.they are welcome anytime
