First of all I would say thank you one more time for the hospitality. Staying with Geoffrey made me feel like being home for the first time in six months. He is an amazing host and everything gone smooth from my side (I’m quite sure I haven’t been very helpful for him). We went to the painting class together, which was interesting for me. He is very knowledgeable about local history and many other topics so you will have fun for sure. About the work was mostly about general cleaning around the house.. (very light) . What else!? Geoffrey I hope you enjoyed the time together as I did. I wish to meet you again one day :)

It was a true pleasure to host Begona. She was very conscientious helping our son with his Spanish and he found it a great help. She even offered to do more than we asked which was extremely kind of her. She was a brilliant house guest: very kind, considerate and friendly. We would have no hesitations to welcome her back or recommend her for any future workaway placement.

Alissa and Naila are really nice girls, but they need to push themselves outside of their comfort zone to benefit from the experience of travelling. They are very good with animals and helped to tame one of our feral kittens while they were with us and walked the dogs every day. As our workaways stay with us in our family home, they are treated as part of the family. However, Alissa and Naila were extremely shy and spent most of the time shut away in the bedroom, only coming out when I called them because dinner was ready. As a host, this made me feel quite uncomfortable and defeats the object of hosting as we like to get to know our helpers and enjoy the cultural experience of hosting. I hope their confidence improves and they are able to push themselves outside of their comfort zone to really benefit from the wonderful experience of travelling.

Adelé is a lovely person and we really enjoyed having her stay with us for a week in our home in Norway. She is a very capable person, mature for her age. A reliable worker—she did everything we asked of her (and more) with a calm, positive attitude and without needing much direction. She is also a great cook and prepared several delicious meals for our family, which we really appreciated. Adelé has a quiet and easygoing nature, but is still great company—you can have lovely, relaxed conversations. She was also great with our children—kind, patient, and well used to being with children. As a family with young children, we especially valued how independent and low-maintenance she was. She fit very naturally into our home and brought a calm, steady presence. Adelé you are welcome anytime in our home in Ireland or Norway! Take care!

I am super grateful to had the experience of volunteering in this place, everyone involved in the place is kind and helpful and I had an amazing time. One of the reasons why I would recommend to volunteer here is cause you will be able to enjoy life in an absolutely paradise surrounded by nature and explore buddishm if you want as everyone is respectful with you decisions of joining them. The place is being run in an absolutely brilliant way and no matter what would be your task is enjoyable in a place of respect and disconnection. Thanks to everyone who made it possible. David

Andrea and Eleanora was here for 2 weeks and they worked really hard. They could find their way around a offen startet working on their own if I was busy other places. I hope they learned some normal mainatence skills here. Very nice people and I wish them all well in the future. BR Heidi

Meaghan & Cliff (also known as David) stayed relatively short but during those days we worked well together (making compost, mulching the orchard and making a flagpole from a tree) and had fun. They are easy to host and easy communicators! Would recommend them, Paul & Yvonne

I think that I cannot have the right words to describe these days passed together. Mark and Diane made me part of the family. They were more than host, they taught me what means the American Life. I always had the pleasure to try that and now I can’t say thanks enough to them. It will not a goodbye but see you soon. I recommend them without any doubt

Thank you, Broderic, for your thoughtful words. It was a pleasure having you with us. Your experience in organic and regenerative farming showed clearly in the way you worked—with clarity, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose. The team appreciated your involvement, and you blended naturally into the daily rhythm of the farm. Knowing the intent behind your travels—documenting sustainable agriculture and immersing yourself in rural life—added a deeper dimension to your time here. I personally valued our interactions and only wish I was present for a more immersive exchange to learn from your experiences and perspectives. Wishing you the very best with your journey and your book. You’ll always be welcome here. volunteers are an integral part of the place and we cherish every hand that has help build our oasis. thank you once again for being part of our team

Terhi is a lovely and kind person, and it was a pleasure hosting her. From the beginning, we had clear and good communication about tasks and expectations, both before and during her stay. This really helped create a smooth and trusting collaboration. She took care of my daughter with warmth and responsibility, and when we were away on a business trip, she looked after my dogs diligently, truly going above and beyond for their wellbeing. This gave me great peace of mind. She works very independently and is extremely reliable. She has a calm and positive presence, while also valuing her own space and time, which is important to respect and contributes to a balanced co-living experience. Overall, I’m very happy with our collaboration and would definitely recommend her to future hosts.

Emery joined us to support our social media management for the yoga retreat, but it quickly became clear that she brought so much more to the table. From day one, she arrived with enthusiasm, initiative, and a genuine desire to contribute. She didn’t wait to be told what to do, she jumped right in and made herself incredibly helpful from the start. Her eye for design is exceptional, and she approaches everything with a high level of professionalism and dedication. The quality of her work consistently exceeded our expectations, and she played a key role in creating some truly amazing projects during her time with us. Beyond her skills, Emery is simply a beautiful soul with a kind and generous heart. Working with her was not only productive but also a lot of fun. Over time, she became more than a volunteer—she became a friend. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and wholeheartedly recommend her. We’re already looking forward to the day we meet again.

Emmanuelle and Marika volunteered here and quickly became invaluable members of our teaching team. They taught English to marginalized and underprivileged students in our rural community with warmth, creativity, and genuine care. Their lessons were engaging, well-prepared, and tailored to meet the needs of learners of different ages and levels — helping students gain confidence and enthusiasm for learning. In addition to classroom teaching, they participated in our agroecological farm tour initiative, supporting the school’s efforts to raise income to sponsor children who cannot afford the school fee. Their involvement in the tours — from helping organize visits to interacting warmly with visitors and learners — made a real difference to our fundraising efforts and strengthened community ties. Emmanuelle and Marika are reliable, respectful, and culturally sensitive. They showed patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude in all tasks, and they connected wonderfully with students and staff alike. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and the lasting, positive impact they made on our school and community. Any host would be fortunate to welcome them. Highly recommended!

Biagio volunteered here and made an outstanding, lasting impact. He taught English to students in rural areas with patience, energy, and creativity, quickly building strong relationships with both students and staff. Beyond his teaching duties, Biagio noticed several bright children who could not continue because their families couldn’t afford the small school fees. He took the initiative to raise funds and set up school sponsorships so those students could stay in class and keep learning. His compassion, reliability, and hands-on approach went far beyond what we expected from a short-term volunteer. Biagio is respectful, adaptable, and always willing to help wherever needed. He communicates clearly, shows great cultural sensitivity, and brings a positive, can-do attitude every day. We’re deeply grateful for his contribution — he helped change lives and strengthened our community. Any project would be lucky to welcome him. Highly recommended!

The place is a true oasis in an arid landscape. The garden is manicured, and the work day was the most well structured of any Workaway I've been involved with. Often with volunteer projects, it's difficult to be certain if you're actually helping, or if you're a distraction. But here, I felt like a valued member of the team. I stayed for 12 days, and I felt useful and well informed from day one. Pravin is very communicative and easy to work for. Dharamveer and Shankar were always quite helpful and they were both kind enough to invite me into their homes. For those who truly want to contribute in a meaningful way, this is a great place to go. Also, this is a great place to learn Hindi, as most of the staff and the villagers of Manpura Macheri have limited English. Thanks for hosting me!

Ida came to our farm as a volunteer not just once, but twice, and each time she became a true part of our family. She is a very kind-hearted and gentle person who brings positive energy everywhere. She helped us in cooking, planting, harvesting, and cleaning with great care and responsibility. She always showed respect, love, and dedication in every task. We really enjoyed her company and felt very comfortable with her. Ida is a wonderful human being, and we highly recommend her 100% to any host. We truly hope to see her again.

Hiro's share mural project is beautiful and really interesting, this is the perfect volunteer if you like painting. I love to see all the art works people have done in the past and it was beautiful to be part of it! Also Hiro is really good at helping with anything you need, he has really good recomendation of things to do and also his plum wine is really good! I only stayed for one week and during that time an ex volunteer came to visit and it was really fun:) since normally he host one person at the time it can fill a little bit lonely so have that in mind if you are a really social person. Also I sleep really well in the tent and there was plenty of more space in the walls to be painted. Thank you Hiro for this beautiful experience!

Naomi and Shira stayed with us for about two weeks. They are both very relaxed and creative people. Naomi is a very talented artist, and the painting she created on wood was truly beautiful. Shira made a special type of Israeli bread for us, and our daughter even said it was “the best bread in the world”! They also built a storage box for our living room as a DIY project. This wasn’t something we asked for—they came up with the idea themselves to make the space easier to organize. From design to construction, they completed it in a short time and created something truly wonderful. They also helped us with physical work, including cutting small trees, and handled many tasks with great effort. During their stay, we had shared meals together, and they took the lead in cooking. They were very thoughtful about what could be made with the available ingredients and always prepared delicious meals. They even made pita bread from scratch, which allowed us all to share and enjoy Israeli culture together. We also shared many lovely moments—having bonfires, doing stretching together, and playing with our daughter. Thank you so much for coming and spending time with us. We wish you both a wonderful journey ahead!
