Hello namaste and greeting from Nepal.
Me (Dhurba) my wife (Sarita) and my family live in foothills of Himalayas of Nepal. The village called Kavre. We are farmers; from my forefathers time we farm, grow crops and raise cattle. We have been doing this method in these foothills for 1000 of years, it pass from generation to generation. We grow more the 100 veggie and crop (such as rice, potatoes, mango, peaches, banana, cauliflower, onion, garlic, ginger and mustard!) We have chickens for eggs, cows for milk, one duck and more than 15 goats, including babies. At our house we have 5 very friendly dogs, who turned up looking for a home and we adopted some.
The most important thing is that it is away from hectic places and full of nature, animals and amazing people, who know a smile is the universal language and kindness is religion. Here you can enjoy everything organic farming, unity between Hindu Buddhist and Christian, you can interact with true Nepali life, culture peoples and experience what truly is Nepal in local ways. Our door are always open for everyone, you will be part of our family.
We live in a range of 2 hour bus journey from Kathmandu.

They also get chance to visit roam around place around hear balthali village name buda monastery, panauti and dhulikhel ancient city and many jungle walk .they also get chance to know the people how exactly is nepali way of living .

Aide
We will be busy throughout the year growing food for us because 90 percent of food we eat we produce ourself by organic way. We also need help to build and maintain small place for our cow, goats and chickens. You may also help us to cook or prepare mea. There are a lot of children who love to practice English they love to be with you. you know Nepal is unity in diversity we have different festivals, celebrations and food. You also get time to cook with us if you love cooking and of course we will have good music and conversation.

Hébergement
We have separate room and also common room with separate beds . We have shaing bathroom with western toilets with shower. There is also wifi so it's easy to communicate with rest of the world from top of the world hahaha...we also have TV if we love we can enjoy movie in evening with home made beer or tea. Also can enjoy sunrise and relax on the balcony.
We ask small contribution from guest as we are local farmers and this contribution goes for food expanses of workawayer.

There are a lot of hikes and trails to walk and run. There are a lot of famous places: dhulikhel panauti balthali. you can also meditate in the hill which is surrounded by mountains. You will have amazing views from our place of the hills, village, terraces and amazing mountains views when the weather is clear. There is bus to Kathmandu every 30 minutes running from 6am to 7pm.

This was one of my best experiences in my life, the whole family are amazing and nice.

It's a nice big family, very welcoming! We stayed a few days and the nature around is fantastic!
For the rest you don't really participate in farm life, you give some general help but the 7 dollars a day is a lot compared to other workaways in Nepal and doesn't reflect the work experience.

Staying here with Dhurba and his family was amazing. I spent seven days here, and it was the highlight of my trip to Nepal. They are very friendly people and I immediately felt welcomed into their home. I’m planning on coming back to this country for the Mt. Everest trek and I will make sure to stop by again. 10/10 experience!!

They both are amazing soul. They stay with my family for two week but time flew in blink of second . We really spend amazing time working . They are so nice and kind . They help us in farming and also they are happy to help how they can. They really enjoyed food of here and landscapes. It was so nice of them.
