  Description

  We live in an old watermill with seven people, two dogs, two donkeys, two cows and some chicken and have a cafe inside the watermill, with a small coffee roastery.
  We are also renovating the old attic of the watermill, to create living space and trying to do as much work as possible ourselves.
  As you might thought, this is a lot of work to do, but it's also a lot of fun and wonderful moments in a beautiful nature. We are looking for two workawayers, which help us in our cafe (dishwashing and service), with the canoe rental and the bnb, but also on our property – taking care of the animals and some usual gardening and household work.
  
  
  Wir leben in einer alten Wassermühle mit sieben Personen, zwei Hunden, zwei Eseln, zwei Kühen und einigen Hühnern und haben ein Café in der Mühle, mit einer kleinen Kaffeerösterei.
  Außerdem renovieren wir den alten Dachboden der Mühle, um Wohnraum zu schaffen und versuchen so viele Arbeiten wie möglich selbst zu machen.
  Das ist eine Menge Arbeit, aber auch eine Menge Spaß, sowie wunderbare Momente in einer wunderschönen Natur. Wir suchen zwei Workawayer, die uns in unserem Café (Abwasch und Service), beim Kanuverleih und im bnb helfen, aber auch auf unserem Grundstück - bei der Versorgung der Tiere und einigen üblichen Garten- und Haushalts- und Hofarbeiten.

  Our cafe and bnb in particular have turned our mill into a place of community. People come here to have a good time in the countryside and to relax from their everyday lives.
  Of course this is also a wonderful space for working and there will be enough time for you, to enjoy the nature and this place.
  
  Vor allem unser Café und das bnb haben unsere Mühle zu einem Ort der Gemeinschaft gemacht. Die Menschen kommen hierher, um eine schöne Zeit in der Natur zu verbringen und sich vom Alltag zu erholen.
  Natürlich ist dies auch ein wunderbarer Ort, um zu arbeiten und es bleibt genug Zeit, um die Natur und diesen Ort zu genießen.

  Aide

  The work with us is very varied. The main part has to do with the cafe: preparation, cleaning the cafe and the tables, help with buying ingredients and drinks, washing dishes and serving our cake and coffee. You get paid for the work in the cafe.
  The other part has to do with everything else on our property: Preparation of the bnb, cleaning canoes, helping with the household, the animals, gardening, farm work and some cooking.
  (Work at the BnB and the canoe rental is only in the summer season)
  
  Another major task at the moment is the renovation of the attic so that it can be used as living space in the coming years. We are trying to do as much work as possible ourselves and need help with this: basic DIY work, sanding, screwing etc.. You don't have to have any experience, but it would be great if you could help us and learn together with us how to create living space and how to renovate an old house.
  
  We share the work and will look flexible on what you would like or not like to do.
  None of these tasks is too complicated and we are sure, that you will love them, but sometimes they are physically pretty tough.
  We pay the current minimum wage for work in the café. (~12,50€/h - 6 to 10 hours/week)
  The accomodation is include.
  
  Die Arbeit bei uns ist sehr abwechslungsreich. Der Hauptteil hat mit dem Café zu tun: Vorbereitung, Reinigung des Cafés und der Tische, Hilfe beim Einkauf, Abwaschen und Servieren von Kuchen und Kaffee. Für die Arbeit im Café werdet ihr bezahlt.
  Der andere Teil hat mit allem anderen auf unserem Grundstück zu tun: Vorbereitung des bnb, Reinigung der Kanus, Hilfe im Haushalt, bei den Tieren, Gartenarbeit, Hofarbeiten und Kochen.
  (die Arbeit im Kanuverleih und im bnb gilt nur für die Sommersaison)
  
  Eine weitere große Aufgabe ist momentan die Renovierung des Dachbodens, um diesen als Wohnraum nutzen zu können in den nächsten Jahren. Wir versuchen so viele Arbeiten wie möglich selbst zu machen und benötigen Hilfe dabei: Fenster einbauen, Heimwerker Arbeiten, schleifen, schrauben etc...Du musst damit keine Erfahrung haben, aber es wäre toll, wenn du uns dabei helfen könntest und gemeinsam mit uns lernen willst, wie man Wohnraum schafft und wie man ein altes Haus renoviert.
  
  Wir teilen uns die Arbeit und können sie auch flexibel aufteilen.
  Es sind alles keine komplizierten Aufgaben und ihr werdet sicherlich viel Spaß dabei haben, allerdings sind die Arbeiten auch teilweise körperlich anstrengend.
  Für die Arbeit im Café bekommt Ihr den aktuellen Mindestlohn (~12,50€/Stunde - 6 bis 10 Std./Woche)
  Die Unterkunft ist inklusive.

  You share a house with Moritz. Each Workawayer has their own room. The kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared. There is also a lovely terrace in the garden behind the house.
  
  Ihr teilt Euch ein Haus mit Moritz. Jeder Workawayer hat sein eigenes Zimmer. Die Küche, das Bad und das Wohnzimmer werden gemeinsam genutzt. Außerdem gibt es eine schöne Terrasse im Garten hinter dem Haus.

  Wolmirstedt is a small city and has a few supermarkets and a train station. There are some beautiful lakes and forests nearby, which you can easily reach by bike. Of course you can also go canoeing on the River Ohre. The nearest major city is Magdeburg (15 minutes by train). Berlin, Braunschweig, Leipzig and a few other cities can be reached by train in one to two hours.
  
  Wolmirstedt ist eine relativ kleine Stadt und verfügt über einige Supermärkte und einen Bahnhof. In der Nähe gibt es einige schöne Seen und Wälder, die man gut mit dem Fahrrad erreichen kann. Natürlich kann man auch auf der Ohre Kanu fahren. Die nächstgelegene größere Stadt ist Magdeburg (15 Minuten mit dem Zug). Berlin, Braunschweig, Leipzig und einige andere Städte sind mit dem Zug in ein bis zwei Stunden zu erreichen.
