Description

Hello! I am interested in learning about organic farming and permaculture in Europe. I am passionate about travelling and cultural exchange, and would like to learn how to live more sustainably. I love the outdoors, I'm very active, and have recently been exploring the beautiful countryside and cities of Germany. I am hoping to pick up German! Last year (2024) I completed a graphic design course, did hop picking in September and nannying throughout the year, as well as a Workaway on a family-run farm and cafe. Before this I taught English in Vietnam and worked in the charity sector in London. I am a calm, curious practical and open-minded person, and I am excited to learn from others to develop a closer relationship to nature and enjoy the outdoors!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience helping my cousins on their farm focused on regenerative agriculture in the UK, including gardening and picking hops. I taught English to students between 4-16 years in Vietnam and worked in a day school in the UK as a teaching assistant. I volunteered in Latin America for 2 months with a charity on a sustainability project to help rangers maintain a national park in Costa Rica. With the same charity I helped to build infrastructure to provide tap water to homes previously without a direct water supply whilst living with a local family in Nicaragua. I have volunteered with a couple of charities in London, including Care4Calais: helping deliver aid to refugees and asylum seekers in Calais and London, and City Harvest: sorting and distributing food waste from supermarkets to food banks across London. I have hospitality experience in pubs, restaurants and formal events venues. I'm also able to help with social media and communications, as I managed the social media of several charities whilst working as a fundraising consultant in London, using Canva and Adobe Suite. I'd love to put my new graphic design skills to use!
