Description
We need help again from around the 29th of April until the 22nd/23rd of May
We are a German family living 30 minutes east of Malaga (Benajarafe).
Gerhard (48) is an online journalist and Maren (37) is a language teacher and translator. Our son Levi was born in November 2022.
We both work from home (Maren currently isn't working)
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats plus the occasional foster animal (can be an additional dog or baby kittens)
We are looking for a kind person to mainly help with our son. Just entertaining him a few hours a day or take him for a walk etc.
Since Levi is starting to understand more and more we really prefer people with at least some German at the moment 🙂
Spanish speakers are also welcome,so he can get used to the language (also it's always nice for us to improve our Spanish - maybe if you are good at teaching I'm even interested in a few lessons)
Also a little help around the house like vacuuming and sweeping the terraces, but not much.
Some spring cleaning and tasks and sorting out stuff that we never get around to doing, preparing the house for the summer season.
There is also some gardening to be done if you like or if you are good at fixing things or for example painting,there is always stuff to do.
We rent our house out in summer to holiday guests,so constantly need to improve it.
Of course you must be an animal lover and it would be great if we could go away for a long weekend while you look after our animals once they know you.
Also we would love to have someone who likes to cook🙂 We like cooking too,but always tend to eat the same things hahaha
So would really love to take turns at cooking
We have been travelling a lot around the world ourselves, Maren has also been a volunteer, and we are looking to host likeminded people.
We love travelling, meeting other people from other cultures.
We are looking for mature (mentality, not necessarily age) and independent people who don't need our care and entertainment 24/7. We love the company, cooking together, eating together etc, but we also like our privacy (especially in the evening).
Also Maren has chronic migraine,so sometimes just needs some quiet time (the main reason why we need some help with Levi).
We can only host a single volunteer at the moment.
Ideally we're looking for someone who can stay between 2 weeks and 2 months.

Hébergement
Your own room and bathroom in our house
We have a lovely country house with sea view.
Please note that we are in the countryside and it's 2km to the bus stop, shops and cafes .
If you are easily bored this might not be the right place for you

We are one vegetarian and one meat eater, so all welcome.
Volunteering schedule is somewhat flexible, but we expect you to do the hours. also we have some key hours (in the morning) that we definitely need covered (9-12)
You can go to Malaga by bus if you like and of course the beach is not far

We use the internet for work including video calls There is no good WiFi in your room though, would need to work on the terrace, so not suitable if you need to work a lot as we also spend most of our time on the terrace

We couldn't have asked for a better "big sister" for him.
Anita is very sweet and considerate and we enjoyed having her around.
Levi loved playing with her and she was so nice and helpful and also very proactive and always found herself something to do.

They are both very handy and fixed a lot of things.
