Description
We are a family living in Bologna: me, my daughter, 25, my son, 23.
Our house is in the country, 5 minutes walking from the bus stop, 15 minutes by bus from the center of the town. The bus stops in the evening at 7 pm, later you need for a taxi or a lift.

Bologna is a beautiful and historical town. Here there is the oldest university in the world. It's the best italian town to stay if you want to visit Italy: 1 hour by train from Venice, Florence, Verona, Mantova, Ravenna, 2 hours from Siena, Pisa, and 2,5 hours from Perugia and Rome with a fast train.
Many volunteers, boys and girls, young or aged, from all around the world stayed here, and we always had good experiences.
I ask some experience of working in the garden, or painting, maintenance...
IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) We can't host people asking for residence. 2) When you stay here we are not on holidays, but we work and study, so it's important that you are an autonomous person.

I stayed with Silvia and her family for ten days, and it was wonderful! Unfortunately it was very hot so I couldn’t do much garden work, but I did help with indoor chores. I spent two weeks with Silvia and her family and I had a wonderful time. Her house is beautiful and located in the hillside outside of Bologna. I had plenty of free time to explore the city during the day, but the last bus home is at 7pm so you must plan accordingly. My experience with Silvia was wonderful. I felt like part of the family from the moment I walked in their door.The work part of the Workaway is minimal - only feeding the dog - which leaves you with plenty of time and freedom to explore Bologna and Emilia-Romagna. Matilde is a quiet, lovely host! She is always ready to help, to talk and she was a good presence in our family. My daughter remembers her as a friend, and she learnt some spanish.

When Lynn stayed with us, we hadn't a lot of time to stay with her. School, work... But she's very indipendent, and a good company. She is SUPER in cleaning and you can have godd conversations with her. She's very organized too, and funny.
