  Description

  Welcome to our project.! A 100 years old house in the heart of our town with beautiful harbour view - and a lot of work to share! This building, which stand still for the past 10 years, is ready for new adventures and right in the middle of a transformation from a lost place to a culture, eco and social centre. Made by makers, by heart and hands.
  Our project is a non-profit, all the money stays in the project.
  Right now the house is without water & heat but already filled with the first projects and several workshops (bike, wood, metal..). We work in a small team of mainly volunteers in managing, starting events, work on the finance, and renovate the rooms.
  
  In the soonest future a organic and vegan café is opening in the main floor, in the opper floors is room for ateliers, filmstudios, repairstations etc. and 3 flats for living.
  
  The future dream is our project. as an eco friendly renovated, creative hub with a green yard and roof and living place to be.

  Here. you'll find a high diversity of human beings, everyone with a different motivation, background and knowledge to share. From skills to repair bikes, to screen printing in our own labor, baking bread, starting a jamsession or starting a hugh houseproject like this. Also a good opportunity to learn german.

  Aide

  We need persons who are willing to work handicraft or can bring knowledge for achitecture planning or comunity organisation. We work as a "doocracy" and mainly selforganized but of course especially in the beginning lead by one of the older members. There are tasks to share like: Plaster the walls with clay, install rescued doors from another building, woodwork in general and so on - whatever this old house brings us up to ;-)
  
  There is planty of room for creativity. - if you have an idea: bringt it up! We're thankful for every input what helps us to create a stable financing and a close community.

  Hébergement

  We offer a beutiful appartment for 3 just around the corner, so you will live in a shared flat with two other helping hands with a kitchen for cooking and a balcony with view at our place. and harbour.
  
  There is a well equipped kitchen at the Appartment, the helping hands have also access to our baked goods and vegetables.

  Autres infos...

  Bremerhaven is located at the north coast, so there is always a litte salty wind and tourist feeling for free. You can reach some beaches by bike and visit some of our higly recommended musuems on rainy days. We have some cargo bikes for free rent in the house, so you can explore the neighbourhood easily.
