hi! i am meli a costa rican music producer and the guardian of this beautiful land.
Come chill at home and take care of 2 cute dogs and a kitty cat.
looking for help April 5th onwards minimum stay 2 weeks (ideally longer)
REQUIREMENTS:
•age 28+
•must carry travel insurance
Bigotes is 16 years old he's the black one with white hairs. & Vigo is 3 yrs old (the grey one) They are autonomous farm dogs. They love playtime & treats & cuddles & can be left unattended. They're super loving. Vigo is reactive to people walking by the fence and other dogs so any help with training would be appreciated!
Chibi is the sweetest, most playful little 2 year old kitten who is definitely the queen of the house. She requires lots of playtime to distract her from all the beautiful birds on the property :)

You will get to know the local side of Costa Rica and immerse yourselves in the culture. We are right below the Juan Castro Blanco National Park and are surrounded by the most beautiful scenery to be found. Waterfall 6km away. Hot Springs, volcanoes etc. Visit my uncle next door and his amazing farm-to-table restaurant or volunteer at his farm and milk cow or make cheese! San Jose airport is 1.5 hrs away and La Fortuna/Arenal 40 minutes.

We are located 1.5 hrs from the airport in San Jose and 40 minutes from Arenal Volcano. There is a beautiful waterfall 6km from our property & a fresh water spring and river about 5 minutes walking from home. Downtown is about a 30 minute walk or 7 minute Uber ride. You can find anything from restaurants to movie theaters to shopping centers and local markets. You can also enjoy Quesada downtown which is only 2 miles away, where you can visit the farmer's market every Thursdays/Fridays, butcher shops, bakeries, Central Market , Wal-Mart, or other local supermarkets. Do not forget to eat some local tacos at Viquez window on the south side of the Church across the street. There are also good hospital facilities and pharmacies in case you need them. There is a thermal water spring nearby (10 Kms) Hotel Termales del Bosque for $12. Feel free to visit our family farm-to-table restaurant just across the street from our farm, open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch & dinner. You can also coordinate a visit to the organic vegetable garden and the dairy and cheese factory.

He comes and goes as he pleases, but loves cuddles, treats, and going for hikes. We were so glad to have Eva and Peter at our place, they are hard workers, disciplined and always motivated. Peter likes to immerse into the details of every activity and was able to identify a water leak in one of the bathroom walls. We had a wonderful experience with Guille and Stefy. They have a great attitude towards work and they have their own initiative to organized the house, cleaning the garden and taking good care of the dogs.
They are very clean and returned the house in perfect conditions, I couldn’t ask for more.

This was an amazing Workaway experience. We stayed for one month. We didn’t meet Meli, but we stayed in contact the whole time and her father Eugenio stayed in the house with us for some days. The animals are very cute and friendly, the house is very cosy , has scenic views and it’s sits on a very beautiful property where we even saw a sloth.
