  Description

  We are a small extended family: me, Alice, 31, my partner, David, 33, our one-and-a-half-year-old son Rio, and a diverse group of friends who stop by to share lunches, aperitifs, and time together. We live in a place surrounded by nature, on the shores of a swimming lake, with a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. We enjoy creating a relaxed and convivial environment where people can feel at home, enjoy the outdoors, and share authentic experiences. We've decided to open our space to Workawayers to bring even more life and community spirit to the project, and to help with the daily chores that, unfortunately, are never lacking when living in the woods. We offer a rustic experience, with tent accommodations and shared bathrooms and kitchens. We're in the countryside near Turin, surrounded by fields and next to a stream that's also suitable for swimming. We can be reached via a short dirt road in the municipality of Villafranca Piemonte. We offer our guests our local knowledge, including canoeing and rowing, learning to identify various plant species and their preferred uses, and helping them reconnect with the environment and the native creatures that inhabit the lake. We are available from May to August.
  
  Siamo una piccola famiglia “allargata”: io, Alice 31 anni, il mio compagno, David 33 anni, il nostro bambino Rio di un anno e mezzo e variopinti amici che passano da noi per condividere pranzi, aperitivi e tempo insieme. Viviamo in un posto immerso nella natura, sulle rive di un laghetto balneabile, con un’atmosfera molto easy e informale.
  
  Ci piace creare un ambiente rilassato e conviviale, dove le persone possano sentirsi a casa, stare all’aria aperta e condividere esperienze autentiche. Abbiamo deciso di aprire il nostro spazio anche ai Workawayers per dare ancora più vita e spirito di comunità al progetto, ed avere una mano nei lavori quotidiani che ahimè vivendo tra i boschi non mancano mai.
  
  Offriamo un’esperienza rustica, con sistemazione in tenda mentre bagno e cucina sono spazi condivisi, siamo in piena campagna in provincia di Torino, circondati da campi e a fianco di un torrente anch’esso balneabile. Ci si raggiunge tramite una breve strada sterrata nel comune di Villafranca Piemonte.
  Mettiamo a disposizione degli ospiti le nostre conoscenze del territorio, tra cui la possibilità di utilizzare canoa e barca a remi, riconoscere le varie specie di piante e per quali usi prediligerle, riconnessione profonda con l’ambiente e le creature autoctone che abitano il lago. Come periodo siamo disponibili da maggio ad agosto.

  Even if being at the lake is mainly about reconciling with oneself and with nature, we also really enjoy the cheerful company. There is no shortage of moments of relaxation and sharing both on site and at various village festivals in the surrounding area with typical products and sporting/musical events.
  
  Anche se stare al laghetto è principalmente riconciliarsi con se stessi e con la natura ci piace molto anche la allegra compagnia non mancano infatti momenti di svago e condivisione sia in loco che svariate sagre di paese nei dintorni con prodotti tipici e eventi sportivi /musicali

  Aide

  We are looking for practical and easy-going people who are willing to help with maintenance tasks in the area: grass cutting, gardening, small manual tasks, managing common areas, and helping with the daily life of the house and animals, including two dogs and a sheep. The tasks are suitable for everyone, and any help is welcome.
  
  Cerchiamo persone pratiche e alla buona, con voglia di collaborare nelle attività di manutenzione dell’area: taglio erba, cura del verde, piccoli lavori manuali, gestione degli spazi comuni e aiuto nella vita quotidiana della casa e degli animali tra cui due cani e una pecora, i lavori sono adatti a tuttə e qualsiasi aiuto è ben accetto.

  Hébergement

  Daily life takes place primarily outdoors, with overnight stays in tents, either provided by us or you can bring your own. We can provide towels and sheets, but we recommend bringing your own sleeping bag. There's a shared outdoor kitchen with a relaxation area and table. There's an outdoor shower surrounded by bamboo, and a bathroom with an indoor toilet. We rely on entirely renewable and self-produced energy sources, so consumption is limited and the internet connection is poor. Laundry is available once a week. During the day, meals can be self-managed, depending on your schedule, while dinner will be a shared experience. We'll provide produce from the family garden and locally sourced food.
  
  La vita quotidiana si svolge principalmente all’aria aperta con pernottamento in tenda, fornita da noi o se preferite potete portarvela. Possiamo offrire asciugamani e lenzuola, consigliamo di portarvi un sacco a pelo. Cucina all’aperto condivisa con spazio relax e tavolo.
  La doccia all’aperto circondata da bambù , bagno con wc all’interno.
  Viviamo con fonti di energia totalmente rinnovabili e autoprodotte perciò il consumo è limitato e la connessione Internet è scarsa. Possibilità di fare lavatrici una volta a settimana. Durante il giorno in base ai diversi impegni i pasti potranno essere autogestiti mentre la cena sarà un momento di condivisione. Metteremo a disposizione prodotti dall’orto di famiglia e vivande comprate localmente.
