    Hello! Bonjour! Guten Tag!

We are Zoe and Daniel, a married a couple in our 40s. We have sold all our possessions and left New Mexico, USA in May of 2025 in search of a way of life that is more aligned with our hearts and serving Life. We love nature and find the greatest peace and joy in wild places. We are seeking to live a life together in service to the things we value: nature, truth, kindness, healing, reciprocity, harmony, depth. Thanks for considering having us in your home, becoming part of our story and us part of yours. Thanks for the service you're doing for the world and for holding it down. You are the kind of people that give us hope for the future and your project is the kind of place where we want to put our energy. Here's a little more about us as individuals:

Daniel: I have worked as an auto mechanic, a handyman/remodeler of houses, a wilderness guide and an outdoor educator. I went to art school for sculpture and used to do a lot of fast-paced/adrenaline recreation including rock climbing, mountain biking, downhill skiing and racing cars on a track before I realized that I want to slow down and stay alive. My favorite activity is to go backpacking for weeks in the wilderness with Zoe.

I love problem solving, building and fixing things. As I grew up in Sweden, I want to do things with integrity and longevity. I can offer my practical skills to any project.

I have always been searching for depth and truth, as the script for "success" never appealed to me. There was always a stirring in my heart for something which I could not put into words, but that was beyond the idea of my individualistic ego. I have found what I am looking for in moving towards a heart-centered and mystical life that is connected to the Divine.

I have found the fast-paced, individualistic, materialistic and disconnected lifestyle of US society to be unfulfilling and I am looking for new ways to be in the world where I can serve projects that lead to more grounded, connected, deeply loving and sustainable life. I am interested in giving back to this gift of life with gratitude. I am hoping to work for people who are building a more heart-centered world and need my help.

I loosely identify as having some form of high functioning autism, which in me presents as being honest to a fault, kind, sensitive and slightly socially awkward with a goofy sense of humor. My training and safety was an orientation towards the mind and for the last two decades I have been learning about emotions, embodiment, and that me identifying with the beliefs in my mind are causing all my suffering. I am gradually finding more peace and faith in my heart.

Zoe: I have been a healer and seeker all my life. This has taken many forms and turns, including hospital nursing, psychiatric nursing, psychedelic therapist, herbalist, alchemist, energy healer, integration coach, mentor. I have been motivated towards spiritual freedom since I can remember feeling spiritually unfree. Before becoming I nurse I worked in industrial kitchens and coffee shops. I love nature, herbal medicine and medicine making, the Earth, art, singing, the complexity of how things connect, rocks, people, spiritual truth, traveling, magic and mysticism, and the divine feminine (for life!).

My first experiences with workaway and wwoofing were in my mid 20's and they absolutely set me on a path towards healing, spirituality, peace and growth. Then I did an extensive trip in South America for about a year in my early 30's that was largely volunteering at farms and retreat centers. I did a lot of gardening and medicine making, painted murals, helped with some construction projects, community involvement, vegan and/or gluten free cooking, and any other place where I can lend a hand. I am pretty social and interested in people and what makes them who they are. I am creative, easygoing and joyful by nature. I like most things that are real and true. I have spent the last 10 years working very hard in high acuity situations and growing as a practical and mystical healer. While I will certainly return to this, I am currently happy to do utterly unrelated things. Art, brainstorming, cooking, gardening and medicine making are definitely in my wheelhouse. I'm also happy to learn new things!

Thanks again for considering us for your project. If you made it this far in our post, nice to meet you. Hope to see you out there!

  • Que habilidades tienes?

Zoe: My expertise from the last 10 years is in nursing, mental health, energy healing and psychedelic therapy. I also have a lot of experience with herbs, herbal preparation and medicine making. I am an amateur but decent artist and writer, as I've been doing both my whole life, and I have worked as a craftsperson making and selling jewelry. I also have spent my life as a vegetarian and half my life gluten free, and used to work in industrial kitchens, so I have a skill base in healthy cooking and a lifelong interest in nutrition. I did a lot of wwoofing in my 20's and early 30's where I learned a lot about organic gardening and permaculture. I'm pretty interested in learning new things as well!

Daniel: I most recently worked as an auto mechanic and I am handy with fixing many things. I worked as a handyman and remodeled kitchens, bathrooms, did electrical and plumbing, built out a truck as a tiny house, built out a warehouse as a coworking/living space and many other projects. I also have some experience working on an arborist team. I guided youth in the wilderness and have great backpacking skills.
