Hiya, my name is Wietske, I arrived in BC in April and I am a Dutch/English mix. I'm easy going and really enjoy meeting new people. My interests include travelling and the natural world (I like mammals, trees and bugs, possibly in that order). I'd like to learn more languages; preferably to learn Spanish or to improve my German, but any language will do! I love the outdoors and I don't mind sleeping outside, home is where you pitch/park it. I have a science background in public health and am therefore keen to work with a charity or NGO in this area (at some point, maybe after working on a farm for a bit...).

I am confident, good with people, children and animals (in no particular order) . I've worked on grass roots co-ops in the past so I'm familiar with how they work and being part of a team working for something bigger than just ourselves. Having completed my degree in molecular biology, I do enjoy research, so if you need a resident biologist to try and figure things out i'll do my best! I'm a big dog fan and i'm happy to gain more experience with livestock. Pretty alright at painting (especially if its a large flat wall, but mostly pictures). I can think on my feet, happy to learn on the job and I don't have a problem talking to large groups of people :)
